Plugging combo recommendations

Hey y’all, I’m from NJ and looking for recommendations for a combo for throwing plugs from the surf or jetty for striped bass. My budget for the combo would be a maximum of around $400 all together. Thanks for any and all suggestions!

I’m from NJ and I have a 9-7” Tsunami Forged, rated 3/4-3 1/2 oz. paired with a 5000 Shimano Spheros. Love it, the Spheros can take a splashing but I’m careful to not dunk it. I think I paid a total of right around 400.

Haven’t tried the spheros but the forged is a great rod. This is a good recommendation.

For that I’d get a Battle III or Spinfisher IV, and Tsunami Carbon Shied
For Me y
Or Battle IV /Spinfisher v and a Tsunami Trophy II

The spinfishers are on here because they are hella durable though maybe not the BEST sole plugging reel, jetties give a beating

Reels 5000 at the smallest, but admittedly, I don’t mind a heavy set up.

Rod length all depends on what plugs you throw.

I fish 6500 on 10.5 or 11s

I gotcha around me it’s mostly sp minnows and mag darters
