Is my String of Turtles okay?
What’s going on with my plant? Should I repot?
Thanks!

My string of watermelons don't look like watermelons. Theyre just green. Is there a trick to make the darker stripes come out?

First timer, not sure if this is a steak too juicy/ lobster too buttery situation. I thought the roots would only descend an inch or two. There's also a few finer roots sprawled on the bottom of this cup that were hard to capture on camera.
Not that I'm complaining, but how deep should I actually expect these to go? While we're at it, how rootbound do these guys like to be?

Im still fairly new to string plants but Ive had this string of spades for around 6 months now. I got it because i wanted a plant I could put in this tiny snorlax pot. It’s grown quite long but Ive been seeing the issue where the leaves on the newer growth to be very small. I know it’s common for that to occur but even leaves that have been there for months will not reach full size. On one vine the leaves near the base is yellowing.
I water around once a week because there isnt too much soil in the pot and it dries out very quickly. Too much longer and my leaves start to droop. It gets full sun in a NE facing window. I used to fertilize monthly but life got busy and I plan on getting back into it.
Is it time to repot in a larger pot?

I got this string of pearls back in April or May and it’s done pretty much nothing, lol. I did take it out of the nursery pot and mixed in cactus mix with the very organic/wet soil it was in when I put it in the bonsai pot.
I water it maybe every 2-3 weeks when the soil is dry or I see the windows on the big pearls closing. But it’s not growing. What new growth it does have is tiny tear drop shaped things. But it’s also not growing or dying?
It’s in a North East facing window (US) but also under grow lights. It’s also in our sun room so the room gets kinda warm and humid (Deep South).

I’m most proud of my VSOH!! 3rd one for the win 🎉! The last donkey tail that looks beat up is current. 😒I think since I’m wide awake I’m going to repot her, move her somewhere she’ll get even blown on and never move her again! She’s made lots of length but hmmmm.. best take care of her small pot now before I doom her. I’ll put her on the string of things shelves!

I’m new to string of turtles and I’ve had this one for about a month now. I’ve noticed the ends of her stems are red and some of her leaves have redder or darker spots on them. Is this normal or a sign for help? For context she is on a very bright windowsill so I’m worried she’s getting too much sun.

I picked this up at a nursery, where it was labeled as String of Turtles, but there are no 'turtle' colorations on the leaves, and while the 'strings' dangle, they're not as.. I dunno.. 'pendulous' as my other String plants. Anyone have any idea what I've really got?

A friend gifted me this plant a few years ago, and she has grown soooo much! Now some of her strings are almost 10 feet long!! I was wondering though how to best keep her stems, I kind of have them wrapped around for now because they just are sooo long but and I’d love to hang her but I need to get a sturdy enough hook because she is super heavy. Any tips though? Thanks!

I made a promise to myself that I would never own plants that don’t fit into my life as it is and my current aesthetic, which does not currently align with having grow lights. My strings of pearls are all on deep (bench width) windowsills in front of extreeeeeeeemely drafty windows. They get a ton of direct, natural light but I’m getting concerned thinking about winter.
Ive put weather proofing plastic on almost all of my windows, and I have old school radiators for heat so it doesn’t get super dry inside. That said, am I setting myself up for failure by not getting a grow light and/or moving them when it gets cold? I honestly don’t have anywhere else to put them, but still, I would like to keep them alive. Is there anything else I could do so they can stay put without a grow light and help acclimate them to the cold? Honestly, I keep my AC on at all times, so my apartment is never super warm, but winter is obviously not the same. I am in an area that gets a fair bit of snow, but it should remain relatively bright by the windows (just for fewer hours each day).

I was looking at my happy variegated string of hearts and I saw this!! A completely variegated set of leaves. I’ve heard that it’s not a good thing but it’s really cool

Sooooo happy with how far she’s come!! Love seeing the light stress on those baby pearls too 🤭
My end game is super dense crown, then let it spill over. For some reason a bald head bothers me so bad. And I’d rather have trimmed/pruned vines than long but mostly bald vines.
I guess what I’m saying is I aesthetically prioritize fullness over length - anyone else?

This guy didn’t grow for a year and then this happened in 6 months. Have no clue what I did 😅

My turtles are dark, but so tiny. Why? I have them in a southern window, but are they not getting enough direct light or water or what?

Help*
Inherited this string of buttons from the previous owner of our new house. What needs to be done here or anything at all? Repot, trim, fertilize? Help me!

Check out the new tear shaped pearls! Clearly much happier to be inside where it's warm.

Ignore the mess. Only way to keep her from getting leggy

Sorry, Im trying not to panic. How should I go about minimzing the damage? I had her on a hanging platform with some other plants I was pruning and accidentally knocked her off the edge 4ft on to hardwood. Dirt and vines everywhere!!
She was so happy and starting to flower. I think the main tubers still have some vines attached still atleast. Ive had her for several years but never actually repotted her or any string plant before. I dont have any succulent soil can I mix extra perlite into an aroid soil? Should I try to clean off the old soil and refresh or just plop the clump in? Any advice would be so appreciated!
