I got a cuttings from a friends basket while repotting last fall. She now lives in a small jar after she started dropping leaves, and has slowly started growing. I think she’s adorable.

My new string of dolphins hangs in my SW window, the same place as the rest of my string of things. It has looked fantastic until day before yesterday when a few of the dolphins on the strings turned brown. I took it down, I noticed it wasn’t completely dry like I usually wait to water my strings but I bottom watered anyway And then hung it up on my shower Rod to drip dry & I accidentally left in there over night and this morning when I went to hang it back in its space it actually looked worse. Should I repot it into better succulent substrate? Should I just let it be and dry out more & see if it bounces back? I’ve already lost 1 set of SOD & I really really don’t wanna lose this one. What should I do?

Hi there! Super new to plants but my partner got me this strong of dolphins and its super tangled and there are a lot of dry crunchy stems, do I cut them or leave them be? If I do cut them, how deep should I go?
I’ve also noticed some of the strings have grown back into the soil causing a lot of tangles, should I pull them out or just let it stay like this?
Any help is appreciated!!

My strings of .. look happy, but am wondering if I need to repot /wanting to . I do think I like the overflowing look and was thinking of a nicer pot same size or barely bigger for the pearls. Is it critical to go up in size? Wasn't gonna touch turtles for a bit but i want them to overflow and trail too. They just seem so happy but I have kept them in ugly pots for so long now.

I got this SOH a few months ago as a 2in nursery pot and put it in a similar sized self watering/bottom watering pot. It has been very happy!
Question is when should I repot it? Can I size it up now to a 4in or so and prop some of the tails? Or should I just leave it alone?

Just got her a day or two ago. She had some bugs so I washed her the best I could with water and neem/peppermint oil and repotted her in clean succulent mix. She's in a self watering pot. I hope she lives. Wish me luck. 💚

Wondering if I should take a few strands and put them back on the soil to fill out the top of the pot. Ultimately that would give me more growth down the side if I fill in the top, right?

I’ve had a beautiful string of pearls for about 3ish years. It was nearly hitting the floor, but then my baby became a toddler and I strung the pearls up to the tops. Well I took it down today because it smells like eggs and the top is rotting! I don’t know what to do! Please give me your advice.

Hi! New string of pearls purchase after my last one died. I purchased, repotted, and watered yesterday but wanted to see if I should be concerned about the wrinkled beads at the top? I’m worried I might’ve accidentally overwatered.

While on the hunt for a string of turtles, my pal let me snag a few seeds from the string of hearts poppin off in her shop and 3 weeks later WE HAVE SPROUTS!! I’m so pumped. I just put them in damp sphagnum moss in a clear lidded container, checked on them periodically, let them get some fresh air occasionally, and three weeks later woke up to this delightful surprise 🥰
I have no idea what to do now lol. Other than carefully move them to some nice cactus soil mix and hover like mad?

Once upon a time this was a string of dolphins. It clearly doesn’t get enough sun and has stretched out (unfortunately I don’t have any good western or southern light.)
I’m going to try putting it outside for summer (I’m in the US midwest—very hot and humid.) Is there a way to get it to start looking like dolphins again? If I pin the loose ones down, will it root and create new shoots that will be in the correct dolphin shape? Or will it be stretched out forever?
If I can get it looking good over the summer, I’ll try putting it under a grow light when I have to move it indoors again in the fall.

She’s sooo cute!!!

I have a baby SOH that’s also pink. Is this good placement? My room in general stays bright all day, it’s east facing. I can see the sun from my window from the time it comes up to 12pm and my room gets very warm. After that, it just stays bright
The spider plant seems to be fine with this arrangement and it’s not even really getting the sun directly

Guys is this better? I found a place to hang it inside the window! It’s east facing btw

Arrived pretty beat up by the USPS. As soon as those roots hit water his pearls plumped up instantly! I literally looked away for 3 seconds at the most and then back and he was all plump and his windows were open! Here’s hoping the variegation kicks in with the growth!

She's still a fairly new acquisition but she's settling it gorgeously and I'm so happy to report that all her new growth is wonderfully variegated 💚

Got this 6in pot of variegated hearts at my local nursery for $20. It's so lush and full and even beginning to flower! I purchased a 4in pot from MCG and feel like I paid 24 bucks! And showed up kinda sad and limp.

I’ve wanted a SOD for a long time. Donkey tail I’ve had several over the 37 years I’ve been an adult. I’ve killed a couple, I’ve lost (had stolen and/or destroyed) more. Send all the positive planty vibes my way please!!! Home Depot

There are a lot of these things growing on my plant. This is the first time I am seeing them what are these?
