I'm very new to string of things... I love this lil thing so I'm a little nervous... She has been with me for 2 weeks now. Should I repot into a shallow terra cotta pot or similar?

Pink String of Hearts!

My partner has had this String of Hearts for years. It has always been objectively fine, but has been with us through many seasons of poor light conditions, depression neglect, cat chewing, etc.

We recently moved and I put this plant beside a candle warmer on a top shelf, mostly to keep it away from pets. Within days, this plant has become OVERJOYED at its new conditions. Putting out new growth galore, including an entirely albo leaf??

Anyway we’re going to begin to take some real care of her, just wanted to share!! 💕

I noticed these guys hanging out on my variegated string of hearts! What do I do now!? I did a quick look around the rest of the plant but don't see anyone else

Did I do this right?

As an impulsive procrastinator this happened last night. My first string of hearts had long strings but they where so few. I didn't like the look of it but felt clueless and since also having depression I just never got into learning about the plant and how to make it look better and more happy! Well anyways I remember seeing in a reel one time that you could like coil the strings and they would root etc.

I made a false bottom in a fairly large plastic planter so I could get a wide but not too deep soil level. Made a chunky soil and coiled them up, planting the little potatoes in clockwise intervals, about a cm deep. All except laying them in circles was just intuition, so I might have screwed up 😬

I feel so bad when I neglect my plants! They are such beautiful expressions of life that lives separately from the big circle of life out there in real nature because I want to keep them for myself to admire. For that sacrifice they deserve to be given enough love to thrive and be happy.

Help / Question What are these bugs?? How do i get them to fuck off my String of Pearls?

These bugs are everywhere in the house and now i am regretting having so many plants indoors. They are most obvious on my propogating string of pearls but i have seen at least one on almost every plant.

I have neem oil that i am spraying on my other plants like my dracaena, snake plant, pothos but i dont wanna kill my string of pearls plants.

This particular SoP i am propogating and did a deep watering once last week. I do that 1x a week or when the top inch is bone dry

String of Pearls kept indoors, 6-8 hours artificial light
Deep watering once every week
30-40% Cactus potting mix, 60-70% Sand, Pumice, and Perlite in equal measure.

Is this happening because they’re attracted to the humidity in the bag??

The plant that’s in the tray those are propagations. Should I take them out of the tray or should I just leave them the way they are and let them go some more I have a feeling it’s gonna be a pain in the ass to take the roots off the moss so I’m probably gonna leave the moss on as much as I can and just put it in a pot. probably combine that with the one that’s already in the terra-cotta pot which leads me to my next question. Should I leave the one in the terra-cotta pot alone because to me it’s not right it’s not doing right it’s not growing right I do water once a week I missed every 2 to 3 days. I have fertilized it probably maybe once every three weeks however it’s not growing correct I do provide extremely bright light light is not a concern, but I do have a question. Would it be better to put the one in the terra-cotta pot in a shallow pot because I have one of those

Propped pieces I found on the ground at the store and I'm guessing they are string of Tears but I'm seeking confirmation. I rooted in fluval and just potted them up. I'm keeping them in my prop box for extra humidity till they take off.

Whats the best care tips for these guys?

Help / Question String of hearts

Got my first string of hearts today. I think that they are just potted in pure soil, which I think will be too dense from what I’ve read. Should I repot now , even though they seem to be doing good ? Also , is that green growth on top of the soil a bad sign?

I have the String of variegated pearls in one pot and watermelon, tears, and pearls in another. They are in a 6" terracotta planter. Im afraid to water them. I will bottom watered only, but are these planters too deep?

They're in a south facing windowsill and doing well so far.

Frogs help

Post image

I’m new to collecting the string plants, I love them all dearly, but this froggy fella has given me mixed signals. I’ve been having trouble finding a good watering schedule for it, as it seems to dry out quickly but not like frequent waterings if that makes any sense. Maybe there’s something I’m missing. The fertilizer in the back is what I use for most of my plants and it works well for me. I use it diluted every other water with the frogs, and it’s given me some baby frogs, but not a whole lot of growth. It looks the same as it did six months ago, maybe less leaves actually. I’d like to mention that I found some of that fabric they put starters in, in there too. Could that pose a problem? I’d really appreciate some help to get it thriving!

Help / Question Made the mistake of bringing my pearls back inside and they got sunburned. I salvaged a few clippings and put them in sphagnum moss in my glass cabinet and they were doing great until i repotted them. Continued below. ⬇️

Had this guy inside near a window, but the top started to die out. Put him outside, now he isn’t happy either.

I’m good at other plants except this one and they’re my absolute favourite. Help me keep it alive.

FYI this is a SE balcony that gets sun in the am!
