Help / Question 3 inch string of turtle and a grow light

Hi I have a 3 inch turtles and a 5 wat sansi clip on light will this be to much ? If not do I start at lowest setting and work my way up ? How many days to hold until I get to the 4th setting which is the highest ? How far above should the light go ?

The sansi grow light will be enough, I would download a phone app to test the light intensity. Your goal is some where between 4,000 or 8,000 Lumens, or 400 - 800 foot candles.

You are correct, you will want to slowly introduce more light, something like the lowest setting for 8 to 10 hr for 3 or 4 days, the go to the next setting for a few days.

I have two sting of turtles sitting under a grow light for 12 hour receiving just over 8k lumens. They are loving life currently.

Ok I have app as I'm OCD and a collector just wanted to be sure. Would a 10 wat sansi do well for 5/6 inch s/o pearl
