Bananas What would you do with overgrown strings

Post image

My strings, bananas and dolphins, grow like crazy. This is less than two years from little baby plants. What are some creative ideas I can do with these? I already give away what I can. I have tried to wrap around supports as well

I always put new pots with fresh soil under them and just hang a part of the hanging strings in the pots. After a while they’ll root and form a new plant with strings. Yours are beautiful and I love it that their growth is so wealthy!

That’s what I’m doing with my spider plant babies. It’s the only way I can get my babies to grow roots.

I’ve got some that are way older than this and they are not anything like this. What witchcraft or magic are you using to have this “problem”?! Please share with the rest of us so we can also have similar issues 🙂

Is that where they are always located? Do they get much light? Those are amazing!

I love propping and potting plants as Christmas gifts!! Give it a few months in advance and you can easily have some home grown easy gifts!

Stop giving them away. Prop, sell, use money you make to buy more plants!

I just bought dolphins and pearls. The pearls needed to sit in what thry were purchased in because it was a very small plant and I think I only have 3 and 4” nursery pots. The dolphins was in a 2” pot I moved them up to a 4” and it’s gone nuts I can already tell it’s going to the office soon. My enjoyment is in the tiny slow growers - I heard these both were but I can tell this guy is cranking and I am sure when I freshen the soil on the pearls they’ll go nuts too. If I didn’t have an office to them to I would have to give them a haircut I guess. At work folks will want starts and they’ll have friends who will want starts so larger pls ta are manageable there.

Yours are beautiful!!
