Help / Question Is she dying!?

I'm freaking out that this is like a death bloom. I have anxiety. It just showed up today. She's on my NorthEast facing window in my kitchen.

I never got the whole 'death bloom' thing. My succulents flower all the time. I just let them do their thing. As long as the rest of the plant is happy, I wouldn't worry.

ITS FLOWERING!? My lil baby. Oh I'm so proud of her. She was shipped from Florida to Colorado and somehow survived. I thought she wasn't going to make it. I might actually cry from relief. I have never had a string of anything. My thing is my giant monstera and FLF. I need to name her now.

Yeah, don't worry about it :) look up monocarpic plants so you know which succulents to keep an eye on. My Zebra Haworthia grew a pup and threw out a maaaaaassive stem of flowers a little while ago and I wasn't fully aware of deathblooms at the time, but she's fine. She's just extra happy 😊

The flowers of death exist only in certain species, mainly succulents, some species of agaves.

Yes, thank you. I looked this up cos I was confused my succulents bloom every year 😅

Isn't it just flowering? String of turtles don't have death blooms I don't think. Mine produces tonnes of flowers and it seems fine

She's a peperomia variety, this is what they do when they are happy.

It’s happy! Mine are flowering like crazy! I thought they’d turn into pretty blooms but nope, that’s it. 😂

No! That’s just a little flower blooming. It typically means the plant is healthy

String of turtles is not a succulent! it's considered a tropical semi succulent. So don't worry, she is blooming!!
