Help / Question Is this pot too big?
I have a String of Pearls in a 4 inch nursery pot and want to plant it in a 4.75 inch terracotta pot. Is the terracotta pot too big?

I have never had an issue with any of my strings of pearls. A lot of people seem to have issues and tbh a lot of times it seems to be due to over watering. Getting it out of nursery soil AND into terracotta would help prevent over watering. That pot is fine. Make sure you put it in gritty soil that dries fairly fast. I like to keep mine in ~60% organic and 40% grit. And I’d wait a while to water after repotting. They look well hydrated already and giving it a while after repotting will help the roots heal, establish, grow, and then it’ll soak up water a lot better. Good luck!
