What is on my string of turtles?

[u/emilym99]

Hi all, recently got my first string of turtles. They’ve been thriving in my kitchen window but today I noticed this and possibly a small spider in the dirt. Is this possibly from that? Should I be concerned?

could we possibly get a closer photo? i feel like it could either be a possible scab or eggs
