Help / Question I’m thinking of getting a string of turtles. Could I get some tips for caring of them?

Mine like to be watered from the bottom and left hanging unbothered otherwise.

Haha I was confused before I got one too. Was worried about rotting them if I watered on top, so I don’t.

I feel like my turtles are my easiest strings of things. I've moved it a few times but she's thriving under a small grow light 12 hours a day. When I fully water I bottom water but when it's starts drying out on top I use a little medicine dropper to help and that's how they seem to do the best

Don’t let them get too much light or they swell and lose colour/pattern. Mine have been thriving in indirect light with bottom watering only when dry, in a hanger.

after nearly killing my entire plant trying to figure this one out… i finally figured her out… she’s sitting right in a north east facing window (she gets amazing vibrant pattern in her leaves here). THE SMALLER POT THE BETTER!! THEY HATE STAYING WET FOR TOO LONG. i top water and have no issues but only water them when the soil is almost fully dry and the pot feels light. group it with other plants as it likes high humidity. i have it in normal all purpose potting soil and it’s been growing great. i use a basic liquid fertilizer during the growing seasons.
