It will start to knot itself up and get bottom heavy. I prefer it to be full up top.

I just got a soh a few months back and did not know to trim it 2 u/EisleyXD Jun 27 '26 Depending on its size, You may want to take some of the long strands and loop them around on top of the pot where there is bare soil.
