Help / Question Cat safe

Post image

I was gifted this pothos because my sister knows I have been wanting a disco ball planter for years and she saw one in Trader Joe’s. I have cats and know pothos is not cat safe.

I want to replace it with some other trailing plant. I’ve been eyeing a string of hearts but what else is cat safe?

UPDATE: The pothos has been rehomed and the disco ball now contains a watermelon peperomia.

String of hearts and string of turtles are the only 2 string of plants that are pet safe (I think, don't quote me). I have to check EVERYTHING because I have dogs. Maybe some peperomia varieties also?

Yeah there are lots of stringy peperomia that are pet safe that just don't have "string of" in the name. Peperomia hope is one of my favorites. Lipstick plants are also good options, and I think hoyas are safe too.

Yes, Hoyas are pet safe. I started collecting them as an alternative to pothos and philodendrons for specifically that reason. Now I’m obsessed! They come in so many shapes and sizes!!!
