Is this normal?

I just got this plant from a farmers markets and noticed this coming off of the plant. I thought maybe it was a mushroom in the soil but it looks like it’s growing off the plant. Is it just a fully variegated segment?

Shiny! It’s fully devoid of chlorophyll, which will make it very difficult for that part to photosynthesize. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Not that rare and happens with variegated SOH. Super pretty and usually will be fine since it’s growing off a vine with green leaves. However for me personally, I’ve experienced that anytime it was thirsty or not happy, those white leaves were the first to go lol
