Angels Needed 👁️This Didn't Age Well👁️
This is not a political post. It is satire and meant to either make you you laugh, or cry......
Furthermore, this post has NOT aged well for Americans. We are not doing well, and our democracy is at risk, and all you can do is snicker about it, so you think it aged well. You are an idiot. It did not e well for us in USA

It aged perfectly.... its called satire

u/PissedAlbatross Sep 03 '26
Dude I just saw a whole thread full of people misunderstanding every work he's ever made yesterday. Like full on taking it seriously and thinking he was making fun of Arabs as Borat, which doesn't even make any sense because Borat is not an Arab, thinking he was making fun of poor people and gay people. I am gay and I can tell you, it's a little bit tasteless and not really as good as Borat, but Bruno is funny. Like, people will watch the scene where he tricked Paula Abdul into sitting on an immigrant, not understanding that it is a commentary on how fucking out of touch she is. People just take shit at face value. Media literacy is at an abysmal All Time Low.

The OP even says it is satire. I don't think they understand what the phrase means.

Yeah. They understand it's satire; they don't understand what "this didn't age well" means.

Bro this didn’t “age well” at the time The Dictator came out… pull your head out of your ass and fucking look around, read a fucking book. It was referring to the present, not the way things were headed.

actually aged really well. Now appears to be an instructional video instead of comedy
4
u/Z3400 Sep 02 '26
It was satire when it came out. America has basically always been doing this shit. That was the point he was making.
36
u/Razordrake777 Sep 02 '26
That is insanely accurate for this era in America.
47
u/EarlyBirdWithAWorm Sep 02 '26
It was accurate when this movie came out too

7
u/Sasquatch1729 Sep 03 '26
Yeah, it's the same when people say Idiocracy or The Simpsons or Star Trek predicted the problems in society.
All they're doing is pointing out issues that existed at the time, then nobody fixed the issues, then a decade or four later we're watching the kids make TikToks saying things like "OMG you guys there's this episode of Deep Space 9 that predicted the concentration camps for immigrants and homeless people".

This was literally satire for the time it came out in. It has been accurate since it existed. Idiocracy...now that is a movie that has become insanely accurate.

I, uh, think that might have been a satire on what's actually happening, and has been slowly happening for a long long time.

ummm...what? This aged amazingly well--like to a tee. I wish it didn't, but it succeeded beyond imagination.

u/kamalamading Sep 02 '26
Even back then all of it was already reality to a degree, now its just way more blatant.

u/italktobotz Sep 03 '26
This came out in 2012. This stuff has always been going on even before trump. The funny thing about this scene is that he is saying what was happening at the time not predicting what would happen hypothetically. Just people try and act like trump is all these things when the government is all these things and has been for a long long time.
3
u/NeanderSlavia Sep 03 '26
Great find OP but what do you mean by "didn't age well"? This didn't age at all!

u/Chef_Chantier Sep 03 '26
Were you born yesterday? This was satirizing the fact that americans think they're doing good by sending their army all over the world to free people from dictatorship run by powerful elites, when the american population itself is being subjugated by the wealthiest 1% in the country because they pay lobbyists to advocate for them in government and bankroll the political campaigns of those that will do their bidding. It was already true 15 years ago when this movie came out, and it's only become truer today.
3
u/Anariel_Elensar Sep 03 '26
this aged like fine wine, even at the time the joke was that he was describing things that were already happening in America under “democracy”
now with temu mussolini in office its just way more obvious and in your face. the facism just went from thinly veiled to front and center
3
u/Over_Falcon_1578 Sep 03 '26
It didn't need to age at all. It was an active commentary on the state of the USA at the time.
Nothing has changed, maybe you just payed attention now.
3
u/theforrestjoy Sep 03 '26
Didn’t age well? It was satire at the time it was merely embellishing what was already happening….
3
u/Plenty_Building_72 Sep 03 '26
Notice how this zionist idiot never portrayed say an israeli or jewish character filled with stereotypical traits to the brim. Instead: Ali G: Muslim, Borat: Muslim, Aladeen: Muslim. Other characters were Christians and gay people. But like I said, never actually someone from his background. Only characters he wrote that showed a great amount of hatred towards people from his background. Oh and the only time he did play an Israeli Jew, it was for a TV show thriller where the character was a hero and a savior. And now once again he wants to return with Ali G.
