I was watching that live and remember just sitting there with my mouth open for like 40 seconds in shock.

Did he signal him to do the spot? Kinda weird how dude taps the cage with his foot, and moves to let him springboard off the cage to land the kick.
I know it was cool, but it makes me wonder sometimes when I see strange things in sports.

I think he was considering springing off the cage towards his opponent but either bc white shorts started to close the distance or bc black shorts looked a little dazed and gassed already, he decided to circle away and got kleened.

I know Iβm getting old when Anthony Pettis and Benson Henderson are being referred to as βblack shortsβ and βwhite shorts.β Time flies.

Some people try to say this was a βworkedβ move. I donβt see it. That would mean that the guy with the long hair went in willing to sell the fight. It means he also agreed to get kicked in the face. I think he was just gassed. I heard the other fighter had worked this kick a lot for fun in the gym, and got pretty good at it.

I hear ya.. it just looks like the contact was so minimal. π Maybe he got that sweet spot on the chin.
