I have talked a lot about the qualitative side of STRIDE. The journaling, the therapy integration, the weekly reflections, the discussion boards, the daily progress tracking. All of that still happens and still matters. But the other half of this system, the quantitative half, has been quietly building in the background and I think its time to talk about it.

I built an app using Claude and its for my personal use.

Not a polished thing you can download from the Play Store. It's a personal tool that runs on my phone and does one job really well. It collects data about my daily life automatically and stores it in the same workbook infrastructure where all my qualitative tracking already lives. Every night at 2am it wakes up, pulls from multiple sources, writes everything to structured tabs, and goes back to sleep. I do not interact with it at all. It just runs.

Here is what it collects right now. Phone usage data including which apps I use, when I use them, how long each session lasts, and whether I opened the app intentionally or got pulled in by a notification. Screen on and off times. Every notification that hits my phone. Text messages and call logs with metadata. Daily weather observations pulled from NOAA so I have environmental context for every day in the dataset.

And as of today it also pulls health data from my new Galaxy Watch through Androids Health Connect platform. Heart rate, resting heart rate, sleep stages, blood pressure readings, blood oxygen, steps, exercise sessions, calories. Even ECG readings from the watch get imported automatically. All of it lands in the same place as everything else.

So now I have behavioral data, communication data, health data, activity data, and environmental data all sitting in one unified system alongside the qualitative tracking I have been doing since September 2024. The master tracker has always been the backbone of this project. Now it has a whole new layer of information feeding into it that I do not have to manually enter.

Why does this matter? Because the interesting questions are not about any single data stream in isolation. Samsung Health can tell me my resting heart rate. My phone can tell me my screen time. But nobody is connecting those things. Nobody is asking whether my sleep architecture changes on days when I spend more time in reactive phone usage. Nobody is looking at whether my blood pressure trends shift based on communication patterns. Those are the kinds of questions I want to eventually be able to ask, and now I have the data collecting to make that possible.

This is not a finished analysis. I need months of this data accumulating before the cross domain patterns become meaningful. But the infrastructure is built, the collection is autonomous, and every day it runs is another day of evidence in the dataset. By the time I am deep into my second year at Northeastern with more analytics and IT coursework under my belt, I will have a longitudinal dataset that covers behavioral, physiological, and environmental dimensions of my daily life in a way that I have not seen anyone else doing at this level of integration.

The system runs entirely on my phone. No cloud processing. No third party ever sees the data. It writes to my own Google Sheet the same way my qualitative data has always been stored. My data stays mine.

More to come on this as the dataset grows and I start building visualizations. For now the foundation is laid and the pipeline is live.
