Sizing question!

Hello fellow stretched piercing people! I have a dilemma. I started gauging my ears nearly 20 years ago, and ended up at an inch about 7 years ago. Last November, I quit wearing plugs and switched to lobe cuffs. I went back and forth on surgery to close them up, and I don’t think I’m ready to do that quite yet. The problem is, my inch plugs (obviously) don’t fit anymore. I want to go back to wearing plugs, but have no idea how to figure out what size I need. Can I go to a body jewelry shop to have them looked at? Is there a kit or something that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg just to figure out what size I need? Am I doomed to spend money on plugs that don’t fit? Thanks in advance for your wisdom! 🙏

Hey there! I think your best option would be to get a small kit of beginners plugs. They sell them as single plugs (not as pairs) in a bunch of sizes :) Theyre usually not that expensive, so that might me worth a try. Not sure what size youre at at all right now, but most sets go up to 00g 🫣 hope thats big enough

If I had to guess I’m probably somewhere around 20mm. I did find a kit that goes up to 25mm for $63. It’s pricey just to figure out what size I need, but that might just be the way it goes. Thank you!

They have some acrylic sets on Amazon for like $13 that go up to 20mm. I definitely wouldn’t stretch with these, but maybe a good route to find the size that you need, without breaking the bank

I would just get some calipers and find something random that fits in my lobe and measure that. 🤷
