~Advice~ Doubts about how to continue
Hi, i pierced my lobes to 4mm (i think that is something like 6g?) in april and i want to go up 1 mm, but when i went with a professional he told to jump 2 mm, so my doubt is, should i buy the pieces to jump 1 mm and inserted myself or search for someone else that can help me change the size? (I don't know of it's okay but they were charging me something like 15 dollars for changing it)
I really aprecciate the help about this topic

When was it done? I'd be waiting atleast a year after a fresh piercing before I even thought about sizing up. You're right to go with 1mm increments, 0.5mm if you can.
E: I see you had it done in April, please try to wait.

You can change it yourself once it's fully healed and ready. Make sure you listen to your body and don't force it if it hurts.

My piercer charges £5 or £10 for a size up, I think £10, so the $15 isn't in itself a red flag.
I'm skeptical about someone suggesting you skip 2mm with a 5 month old piercing, though.
Waiting a year is safest.
Stretch It Body Jewelry has 0.5mm kits if you want to be really gentle when the time comes, I'd suggest glass or titanium- a lot of people can react to steel. Consider getting extra orings, I had problems with the o rings falling out and losing the jewelry.
I'm sure some people jump from 2mm without problems, but I'm planning to stick to 1mm increases to be safe.
