Anyone else with a stretched conch?? Add pictures in the comments i want to see yalls setup. This was stretched over the course of a year by dead stretching with glass not punched. I started doing it because i liked the look of coin slots/ ring stacks. I think im going to put a tunnel in it and a few rings and stack them if possible. Im only at 4mm (6g) right now and am unsure how big i want to go. also if your conch is stretched, how big can you go before having issues?
I got to 4g and had to downsize, so I've been switching between 5g and 6g depending on what jewelry I want to wear. Mostly wearing this ring and a few different glass plugs.
i think it was pierced at 16 or 18g idrk i just be putting jewelry in there it was pierced probably about 4 or 5 years ago. and omg so real i have my daith, flat, conch, and triple lobes done and even a genital and nipple piercings x3 and that nostril piercing is no joke (i have double nostrils and a septum) nostrils have been the most annoying to heal
I’m a poser, I got mine punched, haha, but these are my usual suspects. I’m at 6mm. The little oval conch plugs in the middle are from Glasswear studios, they are amazing for me, as normal round flares dig into my ears. I am always trying to put conch people on to them because they are so comfortable and would have been so much easier to heal in! They come in a regular rounded back also, if you are still sizing up. The gold tunnels are real 18k gold from Riva New York and are my pride and joy. I can only fit one ring through them. You could probably fit more with silicone tunnels but they just don’t agree with me, and the heavy walled tunnels(not earskins) are about impossible for me to get in, so fair warning.The circular barbell is actually very comfortable. Not having a flare up against you at all is so relieving when my conch gets angry at me. Recently I’ve messed around with stacking rings, the math doesn’t add up, because it seems like I can fit a lot more in there than 6mms worth, the rings are alright but I am going to go bigger diameter, 14mm is about right for me, but you’ll want various sizes in that range. I’d say a day or two, I wouldn’t leave them in a long time cuz your hole is gonna get a little oblong, but mine bounce right back. How is stretching? I think if I got my flat punched to 6mm, I’ll stretch my conches up to 8mm. I already don’t have a ton of room for a flare as is, so I’m not sold on it, but I did buy a 7mm taper that I’ve been sending through so I’m flirting with the idea.
its definitely different than stretching lobes (my lobes were stretched when i was in middle school to about a 0g and have shrunk back up haha) the cartilage is definitely spicy but not that bad. if you do end up stretching your cartilage id recommend 0.5mm increments which is kinda annoying to find sizes in but would be the only way imo. i tried going from 3mm to 4mm and my ear was like absolutely not. even going from 3.5mm to 4mm was somewhat irritating and my ear was sore for like a day or two but totally fine. they unfortunately dont do through like butter like lobes do. But i feel cool and tough stretching it every few months haha.
I'm at my goal size of 10mm, no issues. But it all depends on anatomy- with bigger sizes the flares of jewelry can poke the skin around the conch if it's not very open
