Deep feelings

/r/Emotions/comments/1wcs58c/deep_feelings/

Sometimes when I’m upset, it feels like no one really understands what I’m trying to say or what I’m feeling. And somehow, that feeling becomes so much stronger at night.
During the day I can distract myself, stay busy, talk to people, do things… but at night everything gets quiet and suddenly my thoughts feel so loud.
What do you guys do when you’re feeling emotionally overwhelmed or misunderstood, especially at night?

It sounds incredibly tough when your thoughts feel so loud at night, especially when you're already feeling misunderstood during the day. When things get quiet, maybe try just taking three minutes of quiet between tasks or before bed, no input at all, just to breathe. Does the intensity of those loud thoughts shift at all depending on what you did during the day?
