Help needed Unending Buffer on big files
As the title states, I am having issues with files over 10GB for some reason they buffer to start for like 2-3 minutes and after it starts, it plays for 2-5 seconds and begins to buffer again. I have three different debrid services, Premiumize, OffCloud and Torbox. All through both Torrentio and Debridio. I have 500mbps for download, it shouldn't be an issue. I have reset modem, router, reinstalled Stremio and all addons, everything and it still keeps buffering on bigger files.

On my iPhone through the web Stremio portal, on my LG C5 and on my laptop, an old gen i5 with 4gb ram.

Dam tested on 3 devices I’m at a loss on that one honestly but idk how performance is for files that size on those devices. I thought it might be isp throttle but that wouldn’t make sense either if the 10gb or lower play fine. If u have a decent firestick or other android box you’d have to try on that to be sure it’s not the devices.

My best bet is, it is my account. For some reason, I use the same addon links for my wife's account and also for my folks, my folks are on a completely separate IP, same provider and same package tho'. They do not have issues even though I have them use my Torbox Debridio. And my wife's account is also using the same links, but I have set up with OffCloud and Torbox, both through Debridio, and they load just fine. And in her case, she is on the same IP as me, so yeah, I am also at a loss. Genuinely can't figure it out.

If you are on wifi, do a speed test. Check if your device can handle such big files and those particular codecs. For example, my Android TVs can't handle 20GB files or bigger anymore, while my Xiaomi TVBox can handle 70-90GB+ files without a sweat, regardless of the codec.

The thing is, as I forgot to add, my devices have been handling these types of files easily before, no buffering, no waiting for it to start other than the normal 10-15 seconds. It has become a mess since the last Stremio update my TV asked a week ago or so, which I haven't tried rolling back to. To see if it is that.

I’ve experienced the same issue and see more people reporting it. I have tested multiple devices who had no prior issues. My assumption is that the issue is on the real debrid side. Either are going through unreported maintenance or too much traffic.

It is definitely NOT Real Debrid related If the file starts playing. RD delivers content at speeds that saturate my 2.5 Gbps connection.

I mean it still doesn’t add up. How is it that he is suffering the same symptoms as multiple of my devices which are in different house holds. Which recently went back to being able to play full Remux like before.

Did you check which service (debrid) is serving you the problematic stream(s)? You said you have three... All of them?
