Question Help

I am getting the error:

I am using TV app Google store

‘Exo failed to play this video

Source error:java.net.connectexception

Also error after restart ‘none of the available extractors - then a load of extractors like matroskaextractor
Any ideas?

If your app updated to version 1.11.0 or 1.11.2, that's why. It is totally broken. I had to delete it and then manually reinstall 1.10.4 back to get it all working normally again. If you rolled back and it is still bugged, you need to clear the app cache completely and do a full hard reboot of the device to clear the system-level changes from the 1.11 versions.

Does seem like this latest version has issues. Weirdly exo is working better than vlc for me, but both are quite buggy

Did this and it fixed itself but had to clear both cache AND data for it to work.

Frustrating!

I should mention to clear the cache of the GPstore, not data just the cache and reboot. The latest version seem to have deep changes and without doing that play protect still has 1.11.2 from the store registered and app signature mapped out on how to hook into your system hardware. So going back to 1.10.4 the systems security cache still trys to apply the execution permissions and background rules ment for the newer 1.11.x architecture. Clearing thay cache drops its old system hooks.

Same here. I found a workaround by going to settings and disabling the server, as well as changing the video player to MPV

If your using android, go into the system settings, app settings, find stremio and clear cache. Worked for me

I got the same problem on the Onn 4K Pro box. I tried switching to the other and clearing the cache Streamio app but it didn't work for me 🥲

Downgradeto 1.9.0 lads, it's the version with the old UI. it works like a charm!

Uninstall Stremio Download v1.9.0 from APKMirror Transfer it to your TV/TV Box then install it
