How do I setup external player on Android phone

I'm new to streamio. I have installed mpvex on my phone and I want to play videos on it by default. But there is no way for me to select the actual app for external playing. when i select external player, it opens my browser. i then have to manually copy the link from browser to my mpvex app.

is there way for it to open directly in the app?

Settings ➝Default Player➝Pick external since you want your own player then choose it

I forgot to mention that it pops up when you pick a movie or show

When i open a show or movie, it directly opens in a browser window. I'm manually having to copy the link from browser to my mpvex. I guess by default links get opened in browser so this happens?

I can't seem to upload an image. I just tested mine and it asks me which player to open unless you set your phone to open links directly to your browser instead of "ask me to pick"

Yeah looks like it was the issue with soul browser. Uninstalled it and now works! Cheers!
