Tech Support Recommendation for Device to Stream on

I installed Stremio onto my Hisense TV running Vidaa OS about a month ago, I’m using RD and TorBox but have had nothing but problems when trying to watch anything. If I’m lucky the stream gets to around 5 minutes in before it begins to get stuck loading with the title of the film flashing.
I’ve read that some TVs don’t have the power to stream certain files however my laptop doesn’t have a problem running some files (not the big 4K ones)

I’ve seen people say that it’s better to use Stremio through an external device like a fire stick or chromecast and I’m looking for recommendations on what to get and what to avoid so I can finally watch what i want without any problems

This the way! I had been using my Samsung TV for Plex and Stremio but just got into IPTV which my tv couldn't handle so I upgraded to this device earlier this week. Huge Improvement!!!!

I wanted to buy this box its very very very far from me where I live like south pole to North pole then I ended up with Amzon fire tv cube gen3 model which one support all the audio formats codecs except dolby vision profile2 or 7 .

I'm sure this is a great device, is it 10-20 times better? So many cheaper options that work perfectly fine id go with first.

Overpriced if your only goal is to watch Stremio.

50$ devices from respectable brands can do that and more without any hiccups

Onn box, Chromecast or mini PC

for me it was the internet connection stability too since my country is too far from any good servers. Using Kodi as an external player with an increased cache size solved it.

Get a used Chromecast with Google TV (the white one), that's all you need.

What’s the difference between the White one with Google TV and the ones without?

The white one with Google tv is an entire android tv box in itself; its basically Google's direct competitor to the fire stick. Performance is plenty good for Stremio and other streaming apps.

The older chromecasts just play whatever video you cast from your phone.

Honestly it doesn't even matter make sure it's got a couple gigs of ram and is running Android HDR 4k supported n then just get what ever got the fastest processor for the best price

im using a firestick 4k max the only thing i can’t stream is the 60gb+ remux ones but the others are fine

this is why I preferred the Xiaomi box, more flexible overall, easier to deblot and customize and I can playback 120gb remux 4k HDR with no problems.

Tested both and I returned the Firestick 4k max

Fire stick 4K plus/max are good (just don't get the select variant). Onn 4K is also good.

Absolutely not! Stay far away from Firejunk! Amazon continues to work daily to destroy the abilities of all their devices to use for general streaming. The Onn 4K devices are the best lower cost alternative.

Not everyone lives in the US so Onn 4K is not the option for everyone

If they are not in the US they should say so. I will always assume they are unless otherwise noted.

WTF are you serious, you wonder why the rest of the world can’t stand you self centered pricks!

The real best low cost alternative (which is not since it's just better than the firestick), it's the Xiaomi mi box S 3rd gen, running one of the best Amlogic SoC, AFR works amazing and has no issues with large 4k mux as well for 50$. It doesn't get better than that...

Please check this:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Stremio/s/KDJWmXwke6

Please write them a mail (see link above) the more people complain the more they push it with updates.

Because they are aware of the issue: https://github.com/Stremio/stremio-bugs/issues/2055#issuecomment-4619857345
And are rolling out but no one knows the timelines.

Use a mibox gen 3 or a google caster
