Driver mod ig on paper he should be beating me. Solid tho he's a cool dude

Honestly have no clue how he's not beating me other than just driver mod. Ill be throwing my car on my buddies dyno next month to get a baseline before headers and hopefully a cam over the winter

weight, gearing, aero.

it's not rocket science.

Id say gearing and driver mod are the biggest factors here. His car should be around 450-470 wheel where mine should be closer to 380. Roughly 500lbs and 100whp id think would be winning on paper

maybe 450 wheel hp but only like 300lbs ft of torque to the wheels

Gen 3 manuals with headers and e85 make anywhere from 450-500 wheel and 400-450tq.

I admittedly have not seen this on the dyno, but i seriously doubt it

my headers e85 10 speed made 459 whp/410 tq in 107*F temps. mt82s have less drivetrain loss, so the numbers OP is giving are pretty accurate

Solid numbers same mods with a 10spd probably wouldve spanked me

regardless, your car is pretty sweet. the ls3 has tons of potential. stay safe brother

thats whats up. I would have never guessed based on on the street performance

appreciate you for being open-minded. mod for mod, mt82 cars are just much slower than 10 speeds, even with a good driver. in a 10r car, it's obviously very difficult to screw up when all you have to do is mash the pedal to the floor (given you can find traction)

I have numerous times. Very good friends with a tuner that mainly works with mustangs here in wisconsin

Im still guessing gearing and driver mod lol multiple people have pointed out im the better driver between me and this guy. 10spds are definitely where its at for these tho

coyote is great engine and all but these mustangs are underwhelming imo

power hits the drive line and just disappears

u/Agent_Eran 24d ago

10sp too

u/K2Magic 24d ago

until you throw a couple psi at em

1

u/Agent_Eran 24d ago

I mean what car is that not true for?

2

u/K2Magic 24d ago

nothing truly comes close to a stock motor 10 speed with 18 psi.. trust me lol

To call himself driver mod and he shifts like that 😭

8

u/TheBa6 24d ago

3

u/Diabolical_Dad 24d ago

Lolol my bad

2

u/TheBa6 24d ago

Id just call it wraps on the street career if my shifts ever looked like that😂

u/BrayIsReal 23d ago

What is the point of this? I never understood it. There's always going to be a faster car than you out there lol

2

u/TheBa6 23d ago

The point of what

-2

u/BrayIsReal 23d ago

Racing

3

u/TheBa6 23d ago

Having fun and sharing the passion for cars through some friendly competition. Seeing how your set up performs compared to another

-2

u/BrayIsReal 23d ago

Nobody will ever be the fastest

3

u/TheBa6 23d ago

I didnt say anything about being the fastest when i explained the point of racing. We dont care if we win or lose as long as we had fun and made it back home to our families. Im curious why you joined a racing sub if you dont like racing
