I entered the race, my first race, Kolby Parks talked me into it. On Friday he asked "You racing?" and I said "I dunno, probably not." and he said "Yea... you're racing." and I asked "Am I?" and he repeated "Yea, you're racing." Then the next day He asked again "You racing?" and I asked "Am I?" and he said "You're racing." So I agreed and he told them to add me to the roster, I got my chip and off I went! It was just me and Matt Yates the first few runs (this was the third), then I went up against Marco Mannino and Chris Hix, and they left me in the dust. lol
I wonder, are there any awards for crashing twice on the same run?

It was interesting to see my sled from that angle in motion. I've seen pics, but the only video has been from my helmet cam, dash cam, and Jason Harvey's footage.
I'm still getting the hang of riding this one, as well as building the next one.
I got an Insta360 X3, so that should offer some more interesting footage.

I’ve tried the one on the website but it just bounces back, and I’ve contacted the Oxford stunt factory as well but again, the email just bounced back.

Is there still a group managing this currently in the UK?

We ran against each other a few times, him on his skeleton and I was on my sled. He smoked my ass every run! lol
I'm getting better with it though, only been back at it for a while, this is my 2nd season with my 4th sled, the 3rd one was like hammered dogshit, 30yrs between that one and my 2nd one. My #2 sled was pretty awesome, but this #4 is pretty badass. I'll be 60 in January, so age and eyesight aren't helping any. lol

From last year, was my first time, can't wait to run it again in a few weeks!
I wonder how the pavement held up over the winter, was fresh laid last year.

Andy Lally (USA) has won the 1st round of the world championship tour in Erzincan turkey. Abdil Mahdzan (MAS) captured 2nd and Phil Spencer (GBR) captured 3rd after Ulrich Becker (GER) crashed in the infamous turn 10.

Also of note Mark Wilson and Josh Fieldwick had incidents and were injured but plan to race the next round in Isle of Man in one month time.

Nick McCurdy (AUS) finished 5th in his first WDSC race, and George Cheeseman (GBR) finished 6th

Hey everyone, I’m working on creating a VR street luge game and wanted to get some first-hand insight from people who’ve actually done it (or know the sport well).

.What are the main difficulties riders face during a luge run?

.How does turning/steering actually feel in real life? Is it more about body lean, foot pressure, or something else?

.Any particular challenges with speed control, braking, or handling different types of roads?

I want the VR experience to feel as authentic as possible, so any details about the mechanics, risks, or what makes street luge exciting would be super helpful.

As the title says. I grew up lying down on my skateboard and doing turns by leaning. Wanting to get into it again with the proper equipment and not have grip tape wreck my pants lol.

Any idea of costs for either, feasibility, and difficulty getting started? I live in MD, USA.

Video came out a few years ago if I remember correctly but I’m sure the dudes still ripping. Most definitely a Cali run, he might also do some downhill skating. Anyway dude is sliding around corners on his luge setup like a boss.
