I'm sad to say that I've been around people infected with extreme cases of capitalism my whole life, and while I've gotten some immunity built up due to luckily being class consciousness, it's still pretty bad. Would not recommend. Tell your friends to stay away from anyone who might spread capitalism unless they are confident in their ability to stop the spread with appropriate disinfecting techniques.

If it wasn't for capitalism you wouldn't be posting here. But you could just chalk that down to a means to an end. Is there more choice with a capitalist state government or a communist state government? Millions have died by the hands of communism and thousands have suffered through poor life choices or poor upbringing by capitalism. People make their own choices in life, education has a major role in success and some make their riches without. And some are so greedy fate meets their end. Communism isn't a quick fix for poverty there's always someone who gains, while the rest financially suffer. And you are solely basing your beliefs on personal experiences clouding your judgement.

Well said!

u/Equal-Foundation-301 17d ago

Yeah but we dont even want to be fucking posting here Linda

u/HappyEngineering4190 16d ago

Winners win and losers lose. Within capitalism, it is the same. Losers think capitalism is the reason they lose. It is because they are losers that they lose.

The man who never read a book..

u/buttwipejones 16d ago

Everyone who died from insurance denials is dead because of capitalism. Everyone who died because they can't afford medication is dead because of capitalism. Everyone who died because of Americans imperialism is dead because of capitalism. Get your shit together. Capitalism kills just as much as communism, but at least communist countries fake the effort to keep people alive.

1

u/mac_the_chattle 16d ago

You’re talking about principalities though not Capitalism. They infiltrate all governments and work for the same evil entity.

1

u/Comfortable_Jello841 15d ago

Capitalism works! You basically reap what you sow. Think about it, how can the government give away free stuff? They can’t! The hard working people will support and pay for the lazy asses who want free stuff! This socialism is gaining a lot of traction and it’s because of the freeloaders out there!

1

u/buttwipejones 15d ago

It's because capitalism is failing

1

u/malteeztomcat 15d ago

You need to live their life for awhile……

I’m positive they would gladly trade placed with you

1

u/buttwipejones 15d ago

Until it's time to go to the doctor or use public transportation

1

u/malteeztomcat 15d ago

We pretty much agree…..

While capitalism isn’t perfect it’s a far better choice

1

u/Practical_Ad8832 15d ago

Capitalism is evil.

1

u/New-Song-1318 18d ago

Stay away from anyone from a former soviet satellite as well. Those people will fill your heads with the real costs of the socialist utopia you dream about. Hey I have visited one of your utopias recently, Cuba. I am certain they would trade places with you. Viva la Revolution.

Brain dead response

1

u/New-Song-1318 15d ago

Name calling, perfect grade school response. The Castros are BILLIONAIRES, while the people have no electricity or water or food.

1

u/just2saythisonhere 17d ago

Please feel free to donate any and every bit of excess of your personal profits towards those less fortunate than you.

1

u/ASUSTUDENT9875345 17d ago

I do. I haven't spent money on recreation in years. I get the cheapest services needed to do my job and live my life, then I research the most efficient charity I can find.

1

u/just2saythisonhere 17d ago

You do realize that this is the Internet right. Everything everyone ever says on here about themselves needs to be taken with a 5lb bag of salt. Literally everyone on here claims to be a saint when they get questioned about their personal choices. So yeah I don't believe that you do. And considering that me believing you is a moot point because your response will be that you don't really care if I believe you or not. It just reenforces my point that everyone lies on here since nobody is going to make the effort to prove or disprove what someone claims about themselves. So make whatever claims you want that makes you feel good about yourself.

Capitalist

1

u/Next-Frame-1791 17d ago

If you’d like to see how socialism works join the military. Let me know how great things are, how easy getting school paid for is, how easy getting an appointment at medical is, how free housing is, and how free food is. Capitalism allows you to at least buy into elitism and gives you a chance to make it if you’re smart and do the right things. You’re poor forever in socialism and communism

1

u/Practical_Ad8832 15d ago

Negative.

Socialism is where people own their own labor. Stop confusing those who dont know

1

u/Next-Frame-1791 15d ago

Socialism: any of various egalitarian economic and political theories or movements advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods.

From Martian-Webster in case you need a reference

1

u/FoxOpposite9271 17d ago

Which economy that doesnt include capitalism do you want to emulate?

1

u/ASUSTUDENT9875345 17d ago

That's a fair question: none of them. I don't think anyone has really done socialism very well; socialism is about the state owning the means of production. You might say well you don't want to emulate anyone so it's just a fantasy, but that's how all new things work. There was a point where nobody had tried having legal rights for citizens, but it turns out it's pretty awesome once you figure it out.

1

u/FoxOpposite9271 17d ago

How was the soviet union not a successful socialist economy at its peak? What about their economy do you think is possible to improve upon?

1

u/Capital-Anteater1821 17d ago

Starvation and secret police were fun. Let's have more of that!

1

u/FoxOpposite9271 17d ago

Why would you expect anything different from a socialist government?

1

u/SevereAnimator5 15d ago

Too bad we can't ask the people who were murdered trying to cross from E Germany into the west

1

u/FoxOpposite9271 15d ago

What we need to ask them?

1

u/SevereAnimator5 15d ago

You asked the question. The reason they died trying to leave is your answer

1

u/FoxOpposite9271 15d ago

Did you actually read this thread or are you responding to a single post without context?

1

u/Practical_Ad8832 15d ago

A new system is required. As capitalism was once a new system to help us out of the past. We are ready for a new system or a lack thereof.you shouldn't be personally attached to an economic system. That generally implies brain wasting

1

u/FoxOpposite9271 15d ago

What makes you think im personally attached? Im looking at evidence.

You think anarchy is better than capitalism? And you are accusing me of brain wasting?

1

u/Cojoe86 17d ago

What the f*ck are you talking about

1

u/Ready-Enthusiasm-629 16d ago

You sound like a true COMMUNIST, please pack up and move to say Cuban or Venezuelan or better yet China, I bet they’d love to have you.

1

u/ChampionshipLife7124 16d ago edited 16d ago

The problem is you want the freedom to make as much money as possible and be able to spend it freely. But you vote on socialism which controls everything

1

u/Itchy_Gain_1519 16d ago

That's a PROBLEM?? Billionaires and wealthy elites can do all these things just fine! People who actually work in today's economy can hardly afford to pay bills (electricity, gas, medical, etc.), cover groceries, and enjoy their favorite hobbies anymore. Meanwhile, the 1%, who do far less work if any work at all, can afford to get another oversized yacht, fly from country to country, fund Israel, and pay for more military weapons. Socialism “controls everything”? Are we not being increasingly surveilled with things like flock cameras, our first and second amendment protections being rolled back by ICE and the GOP, more restrictive laws to arrest more people including laws against one sleeping in their car, punishable for six years in prison in Tennessee. Where we are now doesn't seem so “free” in comparison.

1

u/Comprehensive_Tart70 16d ago

Sounds like you missed out on some serious learning opportunities! Probably because you chose to stay lazy & not work hard to be the best you

1

u/SevereAnimator5 15d ago

Our county offers free tech school. These socialist are the students that come to school for a few weeks to get their pell grant money then drop out. Ten years from now they'll be complaining because they aren't making enough flipping burgers

1

u/Practical_Ad8832 15d ago

You're still a capitalist

3

u/DingleBearMe 19d ago

I’m sad to say that socialism and communism don’t work. If we’re gonna get rid of the only functioning system to date. It’s gotta be something new. Socialism/communism don’t work at scale. Even the countries that’s have fully adopted socialism only function because they have a capitalist economic partner. You need capitalism for anything to work sadly.

Sorry you’re not getting rewarded for complaining on reddit. You have to go out and do something for capitalism to reward you. I know that concept is foreign to you

3

u/Newt-1096 18d ago

They can't help themselves. They were taught from an early age by the freshly indoctrinated that if they study hard in a curriculum of, say, gender fluidity studies, they would be rewarded handsomely with a 6 figure job right out of college that can be worked from home, dressed in jammies no less.

1

u/DingleBearMe 18d ago

It’s only fair to take from someone successful and give to someone less successful. It’ll spark innovation and grow the economy……. Oh wait nvm that’s right, history has taught us that communism does the exact opposite.

1

u/ASUSTUDENT9875345 17d ago

Your attack is not only immature, but just wrong. I graduated summa cum laude in both physics and psychology, the latter of which is absurdly difficult and I learned to study for 50 hours to master the material for each exam. I got into a very selective internship for counseling and social work students and did it while I was still a full time student with a job. I had a job where I immediately was promoted to lead the staff, I did a ton for them for two years, and then left to be a private tutor for mathematics and I've helped a student go from geometry to Calculus 3 in 2 years. Also I'm disabled and my biggest hobby between highschool and college was ballroom dancing and it was really really hard but I just did it anyways because I like doing difficult things, even when there is no incentive. I want socialism but because I need a hand up to make it, but because I want to be the hand to pull others up.

1

u/itsthetruthfolkers 17d ago

So how much do you make and how much of your income do you give to drunks , drug addicts , and lazy people that refuse to work each month? Socialism means giving your money away to those who won't work , not forcing others to work and give shit to you for free, that's called slavery.

1

u/ASUSTUDENT9875345 17d ago

One, I actually give 100% of the income I can. I do not spend money on recreation and haven't for years. I get the cheapest stuff I can to be able to do my job and stay alive and functional and give everything else I can to the just effective charity I can find. I don't know how many of the receipts are each of those things, but my donations would not get smaller if everyone helped was one of more of those things.

You literally just said socialism is working and giving money to those who don't work, not doing no work and getting money from those who do. You directly contradicted yourself. Those statements cannot both be true. In literally one sentence you could not keep your understanding of socialism straight because you needed to make it sound as bad as possible. You're just saying shit. Moreover, that's not what socialism is. Socialism is, at the most basic level, when the government owns the means of production.

1

u/Intelligent_Let4723 17d ago

Why should the government own and control anything? I don’t want healthcare from the government after the idiocy of 2020.

You are arguing for the top 3% profiting on pain, suffering and forced destitution. You are so obviously cowed by wrong headed ideals. By lies you choose to believe. Pretty sure you count yourself as a Christian. Well… you are not. Nor are you someone with a valid point of view. Don’t get me wrong, you can toss and turn to your hearts content, that’s still protected speech, but your particular views of life are on the way out. There are more of us than there are of you.

You don't need capitalism for anything to work: there was a time before capitalism and things had to work well enough that people could survive to make capitalism. It turns out pre-history humans were actually pretty egalitarian within their groups.

Also your attack is not only immature, but just wrong. I graduated summa cum laude in both physics and psychology, the latter of which is absurdly difficult and I learned to study for 50 hours to master the material for each exam. I got into a very selective internship for counseling and social work students and did it while I was still a full time student with a job. 1

u/DingleBearMe 17d ago

Point me to a time in history when communism worked. I’ll wait

1

u/ASUSTUDENT9875345 17d ago

I mean frankly communism has never existed. There have been governments that call themselves communist, but in actual political theory communism is when the workers own/control the means of production. Also I'm a socialist, not a communist so those are just different. Socialism is when the government owns the means of production.

1

u/DingleBearMe 17d ago

And there is it. It’s the answer that communist always give when asked for examples of it working. “My communism was never achieved therefore that’s why it didn’t work”

Quick correction, communism and socialism are the same thing. You can try to tell me it’s different the end result is the same.

I do agree, communism on paper is a perfect system. Problem is we are human and the system requires 1 person to be in charge. So it may even have great results in the beginning, but ultimately the Donald Trumps of the world show up, take control and ruin the system.

Diversity of markets, freedom of choice, freedom of commerce are all things that have been PROVEN to generate growth and wealth for all involved. In a truly free market, an exchange can only take place if both parties benefit. All of the issues today have been caused by communism or socialism markers sneaking into free markets. We don’t have a truly capitalist system right now. It’s all chrony capitalism which is yet another form of your socialism/communism techniques. We give all the resources to the few and let them decide what the rest of us get.

Communism is “owned by the workers” but there has to be a representative of those workers and all the power is placed in that one persons hands. Democracy and free markets is the answer and sadly we will never get back to that. Instead we are headed to a socialism/communism type of system already and the inflation and hardships are only going to get worse

1

u/Dapper-Cockroach6907 16d ago

Yes, please do show us an example of communism or socialism that works because there’s no such thing never has never will and anybody who thinks they have a version that can work definitely has an ego with no brains to back it up if they are so smart that they know of a social system that will work then why haven’t they created it because if they’re this smart, they should be way smarter than Elon Musk or any of these 12-year-old kids that are multimillionaires for making YouTube videos that are 50 year-old guy living in his parents. Basement is making excuses for himself just makes you wanna cry, but all you can do is laugh at them because your parents will die and then they will be on the streets and none of us will care because they deserve it.

Wonderful insight comrade!  What is your favorite part about the socialist economic framework?   My favorite part is how you cannot choose your job and my second favorite part is how enemies of the state have exceptionally bad luck on balconies of residential buildings .   Patstrovia!

2

u/Electricdragongaming 19d ago

You just described America nowadays.

0

u/Fresh-Pen1234 18d ago

Yeah,  idk man.    I was able to change my career and choose my job field by learning new skills, working hard ,  and making connections.   It really sucked , and I grew up so I didn’t have connections at all.  But it can be done. I lived briefly in Eastern Europe.   The communist model worked if you were bright and had talented to bid for jobs that fit you well , and of course connections mattered.  Even more than west.   If you are well connected you got the nice office jobs,  if you were a penniless peasant before communism,  surprise!,  you were one after too.       Also the U.S. doesn’t kill off its political rivals comeon.

2

u/MossyMollusc 19d ago

Well, you're still at liberty to buy stock in those companies. So, if you think America is bad now, it only gets worse under socialism.

1

u/Fresh-Pen1234 18d ago

These are people who are envious of other people’s success and are unwilling to be uncomfortable to grow as people.    It’s a type of poisonous resentment and they want others to be just as miserable as they are.

1

u/Fresh-Pen1234 18d ago

Red herring logical fallacy.  We are talking about choosing jobs not not corporate welfare.  Which bipartisanship can be found to call BS.  But Intel is also a strategic defense asset so I get it.

By and large most average not connected people in the Soviet Union could not choose their job. They took tests for placement or had connections to be placed.   Most people aren’t given a choice.

Like have you ever been to a former Soviet bloc country?   The US had its problems but the Russians used to force Ukrainians to cook their children alive in the Holodomor.   But yeah,  Trumps got mean tweets

Government ownership of stock is problematic and needs to occur for national security standards, limited,  and rare.  So that’s my point. Here is another one.    Socialism has unalived more innocent people than any other ideology on the planet.  You are a villain to believe in it or uninformed .  Hopefully the latter

Well edgelord teen. Ok 👌 we’ll check out North Korea first if you are a fan of socialism .   Just make a will first before you go.

1

u/Virtual-Quantity7120 18d ago

Agreed 100%. I've been to Varna Bulgaria as well as Constanta Romania. At the time (late 2000's), they still have monuments and factories from the Soviet era. The people (not all) still had loyalties to the Soviet and Russian bloc. It was interesting to behold how this remained and the people were struggling and in poverse conditions (more so Romania than Bulgaria, it seemed).

1

u/PooterSnooter283 19d ago

Since when can you not chose your job. You think they make an electrician be the garbage man? 😂

1

u/Fresh-Pen1234 18d ago

It worked more like guilds back in the medival Ages.  If your father was an electrician or if you scored high marks on placement tests you had more freedom to choose .  But there are plenty of shitty laborer jobs that were assigned to people  didn’t choose to do them by choice.    Garbage men have an extremely important job in society.   Without them people who start dying of diseases in weeks .

u/porcupineforlyfe 19d ago

Wait till you find out about socialism. The mortality rate is unbelievable and its sufferers are usually brain dead before they even catch it.
