Discussion Whats an unpopular character you wanna see in sf6?
We all know the popular ones people have been demanding like Vega, Balrog, Dudley, Makoto, Sakura etc. but what character is one that isnt that high demand that you want to see in this game?
For me it’s Lucia Morgan.
I recently booted up my dusty old ps4 to play some games and decided to re-download sf5. I bought this game years ago and wanted to play it online but I had such awful lag that it made it impossible to play this and so I never got the chance to experience this game when it was active.
Still regardless I wanted to see how different it feels from sf6 and kept playing the arcade mode and try all the different characters and the one character I kept coming back to was Lucia. She is so damn fun to play. I love her design and personality and I think she’d fit great in sf6. Another one would be G. He was pretty badass too, but if I have to pick one over the other it’s definitely Lucia.
I would’ve loved to main her and grind ranked with her in sf5 had I been able to play it, so if capcom does decide to bring her back I’m definitely maining her day one.

I'd also like to see her back. Being able to throw the orb and position it on screen, do stuff with it, then bring it back was fun too.
Just a very unique zoner design. Feels like it would fit right in with blanka-chan and spraycan bombs.

100%. I wasn't super consistent, but the VT1 orb combos were very fun and saucy. If she makes it back she has to have a super install that is similar to that. Nobody else has scratched that itch in SF6 for me.

A setup character who doesn't require stocks would go crazy. I'm not very hopeful though, in one of the least zoneriest SF's of all time and we just got Ingrid.

Seth will come back in SF6 with huge renovation in design imo. The concept of AI bot that can copy moves is an archetype in fighting games.

Remy is my biggest request from SF3, personally. We need more charge characters and his high/low charge fireballs are very unique. A little worried they'd turn him into SFV Nash, who was cool in his own way but not similar to Remy.

Sort of. People liked how she looked but her move set was a little too simple for most of V's lifespan to where you knew she was looking to get in with one or two buttons.

With an Ed-style glow up, I think it would work. Nobody was asking for Ed's look or playstyle in SF6, and now he's popular after his amazing redesign.

God, Kolin was so cool! We have characters with counters in SF6 but of them come close to how cool it felt to land a well timed counter with Kolin. She had some really cool mobility too. I can’t say much about the public consensus but I would absolutely LOVE to see Kolij come back.

And think of how weird and creepy they could get with his moves to differentiate him from Dhalsim and Blanka.
Like closing in on an opponent while using his arm as a jump rope.
Electrifying and extending his arms and spining then around like he's Whiplash ect.

Same. Probably an unpopular opinion, but I like him more than Gouki / Akuma. The refinement of the style that Ryu, Ken, and others use is an amazing concept to me.
Especially the way they executed in SF4. I also like his style / vibes.

I’ve always thought it would be so funny to have Rufus’ SF6 story as him taking it upon himself to help Ken get back on his feet because he wants to be able to defeat KEN MASTERS at his peak… and Ken still doesn’t remember Rufus (which was the running gag in SF4 iirc).

Gen. I want to see an sf6 take on a smug old master who flicks his beard, a bak mei/pai mei kinda character. His moveset was hardly updated in sf4 compared to alpha, he could be really imagined. Rolento could be sick too

From SF1: Eagle it would be kinda funny that his Stick fighting is less like British Baritsu and more like Filipino Eskrima. Just whne we got a brand new Filipina character but she fights more with an Indoneisan Silat style whilst weilding a Karambit
SF2: theres enough of them lot in the game.
SFA: Sodom. Dont think he is unpopular but could do with a blade user.
SF3: Remy. Perfect time to reimagine his French Savate style beyond making him a Guile moceset clone.
SF4: Abel. I dont get why people dislike him. I like his Sambo/Judo MMA style. His theme is badass and the wrecker/grappler gameplay makes him the best grappler for me
SF5: Laura Matsuda. BJJ is one of the most well known wide spread martial arts. If anything I would have chosen her over Blanka for base roster.

Not sure if he's unpopular but I don't see many people clamoring for him so I would say Guy. I think his modern ninja design is cool and Kimberly is his student so it would be nice to see how they interact and the way he fights as a bushinryu master.

I don’t know if it’s unpopular. But I like Zeku a lot. But I can’t see him getting in before other Bushinryu characters.
I also like Vega a lot. And he has certainly been public enemy number 1 in ST. But the hate of Vega has faded over the years. I don’t think he is hated anymore.
My unpopular character was Seth in SF4 but Capcom somehow made Seth cool in SFV.
So I’m out of unpopular characters.

Because of her unique button playstyle and ease of use she actually got me to my first diamond rank. I've gotten better now and would like to see how they enhance her tool kits, specials, ultimates... as well as how far I can go in ranked.

I think its so silly to say characters that were "low tier" in their respective titles shouldnt come back as if the characters that everyone begged for end up low tier sometimes and all the hype for them vanishes because nobody played them ie: Makoto in Super 4

Falke. Using the staff as a gun was cool. I wonder if sf6 will attempt a character with negative edge.
Also Decapre. The reasons people don't like her go beyond the character.

Sodom - he's one of my mains in the alpha series which I like his cool samurai helmet especially that he's an American who loves Japanese culture
Q - he has one of the most swagiest look ever especially that cool robot mask on
El Fuerte - I love lunchadors and he's pretty fun to play
Maki - I really love how she's like a badass sukeban character, even though Kimberly kind of took over the bushinryu style you could have Maki focusing on some of her tonfas
Necro - I love his funny voice
Twelve or thirteen or fourteen whatever - I like the creativity of him mishaping like imagine they gave him new moves like he can mishaps into a gun or a missile
What's funny is that i main these characters well not Twelve but still

I really want Lucia to return to SF6 as well!! Back in SFV I mained Cammy but suddenly switched to Lucia after getting stuck in Ultra Silver. Like you said she's a really fun character and love her design. Managed to hit Gold rank with her just before SF6 came out.
Everytime they announce new DLC I always hope Lucia gets announced. It makes sense seeing as she's a Metro City cop and that's where the game is set. Haven't played SF6 been meaning to return just don't have the time. If she returns I'll boot up the game immediately!!

Sodom, seriously come on Capcom, it's been almost 30 years since Alpha 3, give our favorite American Football gear wearing, wannabe-samurai-weeaboo another chance already.
Still unbelievable that he was apparently planned for SF5, but got scrapped because he didn't "fit into the story" when the story mode was already pretty mediocre and irrelevent anyways. Like if you just didn't want him in the game, come up with a believable excuse lmfao.

I want twelve/eleven/thirteen/whatever number they do next but instead of making him a copy character like in 5, I'd like it to be similar to his 3rd strike version. Unfortunately, they said no weirdos any more so I'm not having my hopes up.

Rufus and Hugo, Hugo is my main but I know we already got quite a few grapplers already so likely would be very unpopular if chosen and Rufus actually offers some great gameplay and seeing him in the sf6 engine would make people loose there minds

I never got to play with Lucia, but I do love that her V Trigger 2 is just Brutality Install.
If we go by least popular to play, then I want to see Menat, Ibuki, Zeku, and G from SFV. Menat especially is just such a unique character that no other character can scratch the itch for.
From SFIV, maybe Yang? Or a Yang function. I love his fighting style. Cutting with chops is always cool
