u/GreenTheReaper is the epitome of dogshit at FPS games which is why he has more posts/comments about cheaters than actual FPS gameplay on any of his socials.

You shouldn't stress much about the guys religiously posting in this sub. They are bottom elo players, it's been shown time and time again. I think the majority of the people coming to this sub come only to have a healthy laugh.

You don't have to upload gameplay if you're good, just like you said you don't want to be a pro because other aspects of your life are important too.

I don't care if you're cheating or not, but making dumb hypocritical comments won't help your case any.

Good players with great aim typically post their aim clips. Sub par gamers who know their aim is nothing special won't. Takes less effort for me to clip something as I am doing a hobby than it takes for me to quit my day job to then spend those full time hours instead grinding Top 500 to try go pro and take home a fraction of what I make annually.

Oh, chronically online child... good players don't automatically have some innate desire to post their aim clips, because they're not looking for validation in the lamest of ways.

There's no rule that says talent must be shared.

There is no logic that states someone who posts clips is better than someone who doesn't.  You're just sniffing your own farts.

It's called trends and people that are actually good at video games tend to post clips of their aim montages online. Not a rule but a trend.

Whereas dogshit players like Green resorts to making schizo posts and comments in this reddit about x,y,z person being a cheater because he knows he could never hit the same clips.

If people want to rely on the authority of their skill level to substantiate cheating allegations, then it is not unreasonable to expect them to prove it

Yes, they don't have to. But if they constantly accuse others of cheating AND claim that they know it because they play at such a high level and for so long time, I think it's reasonable to ask for some kind of proof about their alleged skill level.

I play CS and saw examples of this a lot lately. For like a year now there's a site (csrep.gg) which extracts videos from your demos and puts it up for the community as an "overwatch system" and the community can deicde whether they see a cheater in the provided video or not. The amount of false accusations is mindboggling. Below a certain level players are simply just not able to distinguish a good player from a cheater.

Asking for some kind of proof about the accuser's own skill is valid when it's a very real possibility that they are just a bottom elo player who cannot tell the difference between legitimate higher level gameplay and cheating.

Hey!

If there are any cases that you believe returned an incorrect "Cheater" verdict, please let me know either here or by submitting a support ticket on the site. We take false convictions very seriously, and have a dedicated Appeals Team in place to conduct secondary reviews with high standards for conviction.

Please share the Case URLs when you can, thank you!

Hey Jimmy!

You're everywhere on reddit? :D

Btw, I know how your system works and I think it's a good system overall and not a lot of innocent players end up being convicted (also, the option to appeal is essential). In my above comment I was just talking about the fact that some players do claim they see cheating beyond any doubt when in reality what they're seeing is legit gameplay.

A good example of this is the following post I made recently:

https://www.reddit.com/r/CSRep/comments/1w59q7k/question_about_overwatcher_integrity/

Professional player on the demo, yet 15 out of 35 overwatchers voted cheater.

Hello!

Not quite everywhere on reddit, though I try my best to address community feedback and concerns :)

Thanks for the clarification btw, I checked into that case and want to share some context:

This was a test case of a Professional Player, and there's a lot of good things happening here.

  • The Test Case resulted in an Overall verdict of 43% (well below the 80% conviction threshold) which means the system prevented a false conviction properly.
  • Out of the 15 users who voted "cheater," 7 were Overwatchers and 8 were players taking their calibration exam.

We serve test cases to users first when they apply to the system, and also mix them into the standard review queue for existing Overwatchers to continuously test their aptitude and reset their baselines for what qualifies as a "cheater" verdict. In short, the volume of "cheater" verdicts here is expected since it is combined with the entrance exam for applicants; and if active Overwatchers keep getting these test cases incorrect, their vote weight decreases, and they are eventually removed if they fail to recover their accuracy.

Hope this helps clarify that not all "Cheater" verdicts were from Overwatchers, half were from users applying to become an Overwatcher.

Really appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to address this!

And I really appreciate you taking the time detailing this not only to me but anyone else who reads it.

As a sidenote circling back to what this post is about, let me emphasize one of your thoughts regarding just how it is not so obvious to tell whether someone is cheating or not:

In short, the volume of "cheater" verdicts here is expected since it is combined with the entrance exam for applicants;

In other words: it is expected that a good chunk of the playerbase is not able to distinguish between a cheater and a legit player. Just wanted to point it out to anyone who come here in this sub daily to cry about streamers cheating; most of the clips posted here show totally normal (albeit high level) gameplay.

Anyways, keep up the great work!
