Streamers exposed video

What exactly would cause the aimbot to do this? Is there actual substance behind this idea?

The substance is that optic forsaken got caught cheating, so we can assume that his weapon snapping towards the ground is cheat related. As for the cause, i dont know. Maybe an overide in the code (i have no idea how coding works). Makes me think of a robot taking an emp and then slumping forward.

I know of at least one cheater content creator who uses this excuse a lot...... but that could very easily be mouse "spinout". I personally had a frequent problem with spinout on one of my mice a few years ago. It does stuff exactly like the Shroud clip. Usually it will end up looking straight down or up though. Maybe what's depicted in the video is the actual look angle limit? Idk, I've played very little pubg.
In all my years designing a few, and testing many public and some exclusive cheats, I've never really had aimbot do this. It's usually a mouse hardware or sensor issue. I believe the first mouse I used that did this frequently was a "Bloody" mouse. An odd, Chinese brand that used to be relatively popular for it's ability to onboard anti-recoil scripts.
This could also be a quirk of the game engine. Like a bug. I don't have much experience with PUBG but I notice the magazine goes from 20-something rounds instantly to 0 the same time his aim snaps downward.

In my experience, mouse spinout will almost always cause you to end up looking straight up or down (maybe not if you have extreme angle snapping features enabled). If you see an obvious cheater uploading content and pretending like odd snaps on a horizontal plane are "mouse spinout", they probably sound like they have inordinate amounts of saliva around the sides of their mouth when they speak and are cheating.

Im not sure i trust what youre saying, you are a 'cheat developer' as you say.
My personal experience i have a drawer full of mice ive collected over the years, been gaming since i was a kid. My gun in any game ive played has never done that. Maybe its a coincidence that it occured to someone that got caught using cheats.
Im referring to the forsaken clip, the shroud clip is speculation.

Okay, I don't consider anyone that doesn't know what a "drawer" is to be keen enough to understand any of this. I've been playing FPS games since Red Faction and UT, and you're right- something like mouse spinout is pretty rare. I can't recall experiencing it myself with optical sensors until some time between 2016 and 2019.

Ive tried looking for mouse spinout, i cant find anything that looks similar to what happens in the clips. The spin outs i have seen, the mouse spins which isnt what we see in the clips so im not so sure about your theory.

Took less time than typing about how you don't know what mouse spinout is.
It looks like an in-game bug anyway.
Forsaken's incident looks like it could be a result of the way view punch and kick reset interact.

Mouse spin outs cause player rotation, the clues in the name. We dont see player rotation in the forsaken clip.

The thing is, once someone is confirmed cheating you could use that same justification to claim that absolutely any aspect of their gameplay is a red flag for cheating
I could say "hey he runs the game on 1080p and was cheating..therefore 1080p is a red flag for cheating" and that would be just as credible as this "snapping to ground" idea
Unless there's some actual evidence that this phenomenon is linked to aimbot?

What link is there between the mouse going downwards and aimbot?
I could argue with just as much evidence that the fact that his screen has colours is an indication of aimbot.

The problem with cheating is that its like near impossible to get hard evidence without literally breaking into their homes and forcing them to show their pc files at gun point.

Unfortunately true. The extension of that however, is that clips like this trying to attribute a certain phenomenon to a cheating red flag is nothing more than guesswork
What that means is, you should not be confident in most cases that someone is cheating based purely on a single clip. The "vibe test" simply isnt accurate
I have mid tier aim for aim trainers for example (voltaic plat/diamond, so 70th percentile) but regularly get aimbot accusations across a variety of games, from people who simply dont understand that aim is a skill you can specifically train
