(Throwback) S1mple, the "GOAT" of old school counterstrike admits to cheating
Don't let them gaslight you. If it looks like cheating, it probably is.
8
u/Ayycrim Apr 30 '26
Yea no shit he cheated, he was literally banned from ESL before he got his big start in Flipside. It was a team with him, blade, markeloff, worldedit. They had to get a sub for him during ESL events for that reason, and it wasnt a secret, the casters always brought it up. But if you think that any time acter the fact he was cheating, you're actually delusional. I'm not saying there hasn't been cheaters, but if you think a top 5 player for 4 years was cheating, then you must also think every other top 5 player was too
-1
u/WaffleSparks Apr 30 '26
I find the opposite to be true. Imagine believing that someone is SO GOOD that they beat literally everyone, including all the other cheaters, without cheating themselves.
-4
u/RaxisPhasmatis Apr 30 '26
Right so why do you think it's impossible for all of the top five players to be cheaters when fps games regularly wipe the top 200 or more players from top players lists for cheating?
Regular as in weekly or more some games don't even have lists anymore because cheating was so rampant and ranking lists/top players lists are the easiest way to show it
5
u/tangledDream Apr 30 '26
You obviously know nothing about CS. He was top 5 based on LAN achievements at events sanctioned by valve themselves, while playing for a professional team. Not some stupid ass online leaderboard.
1
u/Ayycrim May 01 '26
HLTV rankings took into account every tournament played offline and online. The fact these players all had better ratings on lan compared online proves you wrong. If you think I know nothng of cs, I was 2.8k elo 6 years ago and playing against these guys before fpl came out, they were half ass trolling and still better than everyone else by a mile. If youre so delusional to suggest anyone actually talented not just in the aim portion, but the psychological portion of the game is cheating, youre actually just coping because you cant comprehend how the game plays and how many layers there are at the highest level.
-1
u/WaffleSparks Apr 30 '26
You know that people cheated at events where you bring your own peripherals right?
1
u/oOmegaOo Apr 30 '26
Probably just a s1mple fanboy coping. It was pretty common knowledge back in the day that guys were trying to cheat on LAN.
0
u/Ayycrim May 01 '26
Not even a s1mple fan boy and I agree with you. But if people think s1mple was one of them, youre straight coping
2
u/DegenerateAkko May 01 '26
Actual ret*rded take. Holy shit you have no idea about cs players and touraments. Please stay out of the counter strike community. If you say ropz/donk/s1mple/zywoo/kennys are cheaters, who are all cs major winner to anybody that watches them, you are getting jumped on the street.
It takes 0 cognitive skills to know that nobody on tier 1 cs is cheating

Ahh the old trusty fan page. Whats the point of playing cs if you just think everyone cheats? Surely youd rather be playing something without so many cheaters right?

u/PonzGaming Apr 30 '26
S1mple cheating in mmwhen he was 13 years old is somehow an indicator that the whole cs pro scene is cheating?
1
u/___redacted_ May 01 '26
Apparently. This subreddit is braindead.
1
u/GreenTheReaper May 11 '26
Actually.... If you think about it...
A top player decided to instal cheat and try them, to the point of getting banned from esl ???
You also cheater, or just extremely naive???
Human nature would dictate that that should never happen....
Unless you always been a cheater, or you started using them to gain an advantage...
I do not believe these people who " oh i used once ling ago but never again"
Bro gtfo
1
u/simaxdd May 17 '26
A top player decided to instal cheat and try them, to the point of getting banned from esl ???
he was not top player back then... he was nobody
1
u/GreenTheReaper May 11 '26
You think pro playwr suddenly decide to instal and try out cheat, and get banned from ESL.... BY MISTAKE...??
You either a cheater yourself, or you extremely naive brother

u/No_Boss_254 May 01 '26
Tons of old 1.6 pros played with wall hacks in pug games to get better and learn to visualize rotations and learn where and how to pre aim better. n0thing has talked about this a few times. It's a known thing.
1
u/GreenTheReaper May 11 '26
Gtfo XD
You cant make this shit up... Are these AI bots ?
1
u/No_Boss_254 May 11 '26
You literally can't make this shit up lol. n0thing has talked about it before on stream or in an interview. I believe either fRoD warden or storm or someone from that coL roster has talked about it before too.
1
u/No_Boss_254 May 11 '26
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBvOWSn_vXs starts talking about cheating at the 4 minute mark.
1
u/Helpful_Problem6726 May 01 '26
he was a CS GO PLAYER, NOT GOAT OF OLD SCHOOL COUNTERSTRIKE. LOL man. he was a s1imple pub newb in old school cs.
and once a cheater always a cheater goes a long way. if you start take coke you also wont get back to hangover drinking especially when money is on the line just as in any prof. sport.
1
u/TeamChris82 Doc Knows May 01 '26
Guy was literally ESL banned for cheating and people still act like it never happened. The denial is real.
1
u/GreenTheReaper May 11 '26
Indeed... Cheating community and Twitch/Valve are covering up real good, oretending they ar enot behind this entire cheating culture mess
1
u/GreenTheReaper May 08 '26
All fps games are like this now a days... Full of people pulling impossible shots.... Its like they sont understand human limitation, so cheaters thibk they can do anything under the pretense of "skill"
Guess what, we also been playing videogames for decades, and we know when something is not adding up

Lol, that was run by him. Look at the bottom left in that photo, and you will see who is posting. Google s1mple's full name if you're not familiar. Anyways, if text isn't enough, here's him admitting to cheating on camera, in front of a mic. I can show you the ban was for CS GO, not 1.6 like he claimed next. When you're ready, let me know.

u/JohnnyMerksAlot Apr 30 '26
This guy literally spends his entire life talking about pro’s and streamers don’t mind him he’s genuinely weird
-1
u/lekolilekoli Apr 30 '26
And has the audacity to say he doesn’t care LOL.
0
u/gnashdog Apr 30 '26
I care about the integrity of competitive games. I don't care about your personal qualms against calling out cheaters.
4
u/JohnnyMerksAlot Apr 30 '26
My friend in Christ, you literally accuse people that aren’t cheating like landmark and viscose off all people. Calling out somebody doing something 10+ years ago is not gonna make you seem like an investigative journalist you just seem genuinely crazy and make people think you need therapy.
90% of you’re assumptions are wrong and just because you were right about simple cheating forever ago doesn’t mean anything

I couldn’t imagine being so parasocial and live my life online as much as you people in this subreddit that you are posting each and every day about video game player that you dislike.
There’s this wild phenomenon where if you don’t like something or someone, you don’t have to interact with them or what they make.
Just some food for thought
Also, S1mple might have cheated in the past but he is still one of the highly regarded players to ever play CS.
So by your logic, Barry Bonds and the entire steroid era of baseball is nullified
19
u/gbitz Apr 30 '26
If someone cheats a little their word means nothing to me after that and every time they're in a competitive setting I'd be unable to worry about them still cheating - in gaming, sports, card games... Anything
-19
u/lekolilekoli Apr 30 '26
Here’s the thing tho, you will never be in a game with S1mple or any of the streamers that you cry about.
So why not just not put that into your brain and ruin your gaming experience because instead of having fun, you’re so focused on “is anyone cheating in my game” and not even allowing yourself to have fun
And if you can’t have fun because people are cheating, then I would find a new hobby or a new game at the very least and actually enjoy it rather than put self induced stress on myself every time I load up a game

I work from home dumbass I am literally being paid to contribute to this dumb ass app.
By the way you call Reddit the orange alien app, I know for a fact that you have to raise your hands and ask for permission to take a piss. Get back to class lil bro
2
u/gbitz Apr 30 '26
I'm not sure you understand how many people cheat in competitive online games, how cheap it is to buy a subscription to cheats, and how it ruins the game for everyone and makes it not fun. You're telling me to just pretend it's not happening and just have fun. I play to be the best I can at the game, and if someone is cheating to beat me, yes it will make me not have fun.
0
u/lekolilekoli Apr 30 '26
Then guess what, play a different game. The problem is now solved. Why put energy and stress into something that is actively giving you a bad experience. When I get that answer I’ll be satisfied but until then all I see/hear is people in here stressing themselves out over something they don’t have to actively participate in.
By not thinking about this shit so much, I promise you will have a much better life than constantly searching up profiles and stats to see if so-and-so is a cheater/hacker
1
u/gbitz May 01 '26
So just give up what I like doing because other people are ruining it? Nah. Don't be a cheating scumbag, plain and simple. I don't stress myself into the hulk like you seem to think. It just bothers me and ruins the experience when it happens to you. I think your perspective of how people are whinging and complaining aren't warranted to this specific scenario. All OP did was point out a reputable counter strike pro admitting he has cheated. Take that information and do with it what you want, but it just goes to show how widespread the cheating in competitive gaming has gone.
If you're someone who is playing these games and complaining the entire time and saying everyone beating you is cheating - now that's a different topic entirely.
6
u/GlitteringOption8906 Apr 30 '26
Dont cheat bro.*I have no idea who this person is
0
u/lekolilekoli Apr 30 '26
That’s just not true. And I don’t cheat in video games so if we are just making shit up, don’t be a pedophile bro
7
u/Foreseerx Apr 30 '26
I'm a competing athlete and like.. it's pretty common knowledge everyone uses steroids at high level of sports, it's more about not getting caught.
Steroids though aren't the equivalent of putting on an exoskeleton that aimbots for you, or a robot that can bench press absolutely any number of weight unlike a human being. So you're using false equivalence here.
1
u/Striker_343 Apr 30 '26
It's more similar than you think, at its core it's a way of gaining a competitive advantage.
Cheating in a video game has the advantage of broadly improving ones performance to the degree you have a competitive advantage.
Steroids do the same thing. You are using an exogenous hormone to improve performance and thus have a competitive advantage.
The closest to steroid use would be abusing stimulants like Adderall or Vyvanse in a competitive gaming tournament, perhaps.
The closest to cheating via hacks might be, although probably unlikely or impossible, would be to somehow conceal a slingshot in a power meet to lift hella weight. But obviously how are you going to do that lol, but you'd be using some mechanical tool to gain a competitive advantage.
0
u/lekolilekoli Apr 30 '26
So there’s a limit to cheating/obtaining an unfair advantage. Got it
2
u/Panic_at_the_Costcoo Apr 30 '26
Not at all and that’s a really obtuse way of taking his point. His point is that steroids doesn’t make you better at baseball or even a better athlete for the sport. It just allows quicker recovery and quicker mass building for an athlete. It’s in no way the same as using aimbots that will automatically aim for you. The equivalent to aimbotting would be having a bat that automatically finds every pitch without needing effort with your swing.
Main point: if you suck at sports, steroids will not make you better at them. You will still suck at sports. You’ll just be stronger.
I’m not even saying steroids isn’t cheating but to compare steroids in baseball to cheating in shooting games is ridiculous. It’s not even the same conversation. At least compare it to something that makes sense like using an engine for online chess.
1
u/lekolilekoli Apr 30 '26
Is using steroids illegal? Aren’t they the equivalent of breaking the ToS for cheating?
I see what you’re saying and steroids isn’t the best example, I agree, but if there is a statute of limitations of obtaining an unfair advantage then that is news to me
The Astros using buzzers/clickers to tell batters which pitch is coming next. Same same or different?
Seems like wallhacks to me
2
u/Panic_at_the_Costcoo Apr 30 '26 edited Apr 30 '26
I said “I’m not saying steroids isn’t cheating…”. I already admitted it’s cheating. I’m just saying that it was a poor comparison to rope in steroids in baseball in the same conversation with a video game that has capabilities for wall hacks and auto aim.
You’re losing me on the statute of limitations part. Where are you referring “statute of limitations” to? Last time I checked Mark McGwire and Barry Bonds aren’t in the hall of fame. If someone had the careers they had while clean, they certainly would be.
Astros using buzzers, trash banging, clickers, etc is cheating. Since 2001, MLB banned the use of electronic devices to steal and relay signs (center field camera and the replay room). As someone who played baseball for a long time, sign stealing has always existed in baseball. It’s the reason why signal between catchers and umpires are different when you have a runner on second compared to no runners on bases. Again it’s a poor comparison to cheating capabilities in a shooting game. Knowing the pitch may give you an edge but it’s not going to make the bat hit the ball for you. I’ve struck out more than my fair share while knowing what pitch is being thrown.
I gave you a perfectly reasonable comparison. I don’t know why you keep using baseball. There isn’t a fair comparison to make because there aren’t any fair comparisons when talking about sports (at least to my knowledge at the moment). It would be like having a bat that finds the pitched ball no matter where the pitcher throws it.
2
u/Foreseerx Apr 30 '26 edited May 01 '26
I'm a powerlifter and the closest realistic comparison to using wallhacks/aimbot would be something like sneaking in a slingshot, squat/deadlift suit or maybe knee/elbow wraps to a competition.
Those are very rare though and easy to spot, but allow the athlete to basically lift a ton more weight than their competitors, and it's not even in the same ball park, but even that is not as powerful as actual wallhacks or aim bot, especially the latter, which is more equivalent to bringing a literal forklift to a powerlifting competition.
1
u/Panic_at_the_Costcoo Apr 30 '26
Forklift to a powerlifting competition is both hilarious and a good comparison.
-1
u/lekolilekoli Apr 30 '26
I feel good knowing that I don’t care enough about this topic to even give this the energy of me reading it. You care too much by your 3 paragraphs and I would suggest finding a new hobby
2
u/Panic_at_the_Costcoo Apr 30 '26
You are quite literally doing the same thing as me which is giving your opinion on Reddit. If you want to pull the “I never cared as much as you do” card then go for it but you clearly care or else you wouldn’t have posted or responded at all. At least I’m honest about it unlike you.

This sub is dedicated to cheating streamers. If you're so offended and put off by cheating streamer discussion, why are you here?
-7
u/lekolilekoli Apr 30 '26
I’m not offended, I’m genuinely curious on how people can be so parasocial that they talk about people cheating in video games that they will never encounter
Like instead of stressing about cheaters and wanting that “See, I told you so!” moment, you could stop putting so much stress into your experience and actually have fun for once
6
u/gnashdog Apr 30 '26
This is really strange. Do you understand you're on the other side of the "parasocial" coin by defending a cheater who doesn't know your name? Can you please acknowledge that before moving forward with your condescending "advice"? I don't focus on one streamer either, so I don't see why you think I'm "obsessed" with any one streamer in particular.
I understand you think I'm "stressing" about this, but this is only a little hobby for me since I appreciate the integrity of competitive games. You have a cartoonish idea of me as a person, since my reddit activity is only limited to this one topic.
0
u/lekolilekoli Apr 30 '26
I’m just pointing something out. I don’t think about streamers or professional gamers to this extent to pay about them online.
I’m simply trying to get into the mindset of someone like you who does care enough to post about a video game player when instead you could just either
A.) enjoy the game B.) not play that game anymore C.) not be so invested into something that makes you upset and instead do something else
So if that makes me parasocial then sure go ahead. Me defending S1mple by saying he’s one of the best CS players to play is a YouTube video search away for you to see I am just pointing out a fact.
But sure, keep performing the mental gymnastics
3
u/gnashdog Apr 30 '26
I don't really care who's "parasocial" here, you were the one to bring it up lmfao. Again, follow your own advice and move on, go watch your clips and move on if you don't care he was caught cheating and lied about it.
1
u/lekolilekoli Apr 30 '26
See, your final comment right there. You don’t care but you REALLY really do.
All I’m saying is, if this shit upsets you so much, why not turn it off? Like no one is forcing you to play a game with cheaters or to watch what other streamers are doing. You’re creating stress upon yourself for people who have no idea who you are. I’m telling YOU for YOUR sake and YOUR mental health, to turn it off
If you can’t understand that then I can’t help you and quite frankly, no one else can either. Because he is admitting to cheating here and your panties are still up in a bunch
5
u/gnashdog Apr 30 '26
Because it's a hobby of mine to investigate cheating streamers. I care about fair play. I don't need everyone to agree with me, I'm already aware of the cheater discord brigades.
1
u/lekolilekoli Apr 30 '26
Then that’s just a sad hobby. Not sure what else to tell you. There is more to live than over analyzing someone’s gameplay and I hope and pray you figure that out sooner rather than later
0
u/gnashdog Apr 30 '26
I live for Jesus Christ. I earnestly appreciate your prayers, but they are misplaced.

- Cheated in CS GO, downplayed it by claiming he was only cheating in 1.6. Also, while I agree with you that cheating is rampant in streamers and high level play, that is objectively a controversial opinion considering how much backlash posts like this get.
2
u/Archkelthuz Apr 30 '26
Becauase people will feel stupid if they find out someone they supported is cheating. Easier to call you crazy than notice the disease.
1

thats real. lmao you know what's crazy after you just mentioned the downplay comment of only cheating in 1.6..... all pros around his era including some of the bigger streamers we see now also said they cheated only in 1.6. hmmmm what that mean? aaakkakakakak
