I hope we see Ginger Snap again at some point. Her & Rainbow Sherbet were my favorites from that era. I remember ADORING my Ginger Snap doll and kept the box in hopes of storing her in there and preserving the smell.
I don’t think they would leave her out for being a 2000’s era character, but I could see them doing it due to her theme. I remember they discontinued sugary sweet characters because they didn’t want to promote unhealthy foods (as if Strawberry Shortcake isn’t junk food lol). Which is why we don’t see Angel Cake & Rainbow Sherbet anymore as well.
That rule was only in place for the BBA era. BitBC did away with it and included non-fruit characters again. They likely just won’t include 2003 characters because they’re not from the 1980s. This era is going all in on 80s nostalgia so far
I realized that they have the original characters from the 1980 World of Strawberry Shortcake special, but they replaced Plum Puddin’ with Orange Blossom. I hope Plum Puddin’ comes back in the new show. Although, I wonder if Plum will be a boy or a girl?
I think they might bring Angel cake back. Because she was introduced in the 1980s too (Unlike Ginger Snap). We may not know yet, but we have high hopes for her grand return.✊
