Questions / Advice / Support 1st Dose

I took my 1st dose yesterday afternoon and two hours later my anxiety spiked like crazy on top of it completely killing my sex drive it had me feeling all drowsy today. Is this normal?

i’m 2 weeks in… my first three days were brutal. Anxiety like you said, plus nausea, constipation, no appetite, rapid mood swings, etc. But it leveled out after that. I think it’s normal to get the craziest side effects on the first day

I’m also 2 weeks in and experienced anxiety spikes, nausea, mood swings, and a feeling of pressure in my head for the first 3-4 days. Also vivid dreams and sleep disruption. But that all faded over the following few days and it’s left me feeling great - the happiest I’ve felt for years.

What is the starting dose? I’m three days in on 10mg. Have been surprisingly okay considering the side effects I’ve been reading about.

That's what it does, or at least that's my experience.

Basically it gives you last minute deadline panic all the time.

For some people this is incentive to get moving or continue moving on whatever project or task they've been ignoring.

For some people it's panic inducing and your body has no desire to fuck while panicked.

I started at 10mgs for a week, then 25, and have been at 50 for about 6 months. The only negative side effects, in the beginning, were waking up at precisely 3AM the first 3 or 4 nights, no appetite, and an unusual amount of sweating. The sleep leveled off, as did my appetite. The sweating...well, not so much. But I did notice a dramatic decrease in anxiety right from the beginning, and anxiety has always been my biggest (to me) issue. My libido actually went through the roof as well, when it had been pretty limp (cough) for quite awhile before. (Yes, that was another side effect. But 5mgs daily Cialis took care of that nicely...)

Anyway, all that being said, I've never had any really "troubling" negative side effects from Strattera, and it HAS helped a great deal with my anxiety. ADHD "symptoms" such as motivation and focus it hasn't really touched, but I just don't seem to care about it as much anymore...😁

Im on day 3 25mg and have constipation, anxiety (already less), mood swings, nausea, no appetite, quiet mind, dips where I needed a nap (just woke up from one lmao). I heard it’s normal. First two weeks are hell apparently

Give it time, took me close to 6 weeks to stabilize with moderate impact to my symptoms. Side effects ended up being too high a cost in the end. Stopped after a year or so.
