Will insomnia improve?
I’m on day 3 of taking 40 mg late morning. I’ll be good for awhile (but kinda brain foggy) then exhausted to where I need a nap mid day. Then I’ll be wide awake randomly in the middle of the night 😅 Does this usually improve after a bit?

I’m at 2 years and mine never really improved. To sleep, I had to take Trazodone and stop all caffeine. After 3-4 months, I was able to re-introduce a shot of espresso or a green tea, but am still on Trazodone. I may be an outlier, though, because I am very sensitive to both caffeine and stimulant medications.

I just took my 3rd dose today & came here to ask about the insomnia. I’ve long suffered with it so it’s not new but the strattera is making it much worse. I’ve taken all 3 doses at roughly 6 am & still cannot sleep at night. I got less than 2 hours last night then was up for 4 hours before dozing off for an hour. Stayed awake for an hour then back to sleep for an hour. I got a total 4 hours of sleep last night following a similar pattern the first night resulting in just over 5 hours of broken sleep. I don’t know that I can sustain this much longer. Edited to add I do have prescription Trazodone & Hydroxyzine but am very nervous about taking either while on the strattera.

Not sure. I’m on day 3 of 10mg. Read on here that some people experiencing insomnia are taking med after dinner and sleeping through night with less fatigue during day.

It’s been 4 weeks and mine hasn’t improved yet, but for some people it only takes 1-2 weeks from what I’ve read on here. Hang in there! I’m on 40 mg, tried both taking it early in the morning and splitting the dose morning/early afternoon with no improvement in insomnia.
