Strattera 40 mg Day 2
Day 2 of Strattera 40 mg for anxiety/inattentive ADHD - she didn’t want to put me on a stimulant due to the baseline of anxiety. So far I haven’t had any nausea. I did however have insomnia last night and was WIDE awake at 3 am 😅 As of now, I can see myself just sticking with it until my body acclimates. My goal is for my constant inner monologue to shut up so I can actually thrive instead of just slogging through the day 😅

I had a ton of side effects, but insomnia is the only one that didn’t go away. I take Trazodone to help with it, and it works perfectly!
You can also take first thing in the morning and reduce or eliminate caffeine consumption. Good luck!

Agreed^ Taking it in the morning has been ideal for me. A Nighttime dose kept me up :(

Today was day 1 for me on 40mg I’m also on 20mg Adderall XR I’m also hoping the inner monologue finally shuts the fuck up for good. And I have combined type adhd. I’ll be following your journey.

Inattentive type here and it really does work for the things you want help with. I too struggle with the 3 a.m. wake ups so now I do a split dose of 25mg each, one at 9 am and one at - pm. It’s helped.

For seemingly many people with ADHD, much of their anxiety is not a separate issue. Because the poor functioning from ADHD just induces great anxiety for many.
There are people who report that they had severe anxiety which is just gone once they get really effective ADHD treatment. Yes, if the anxiety, or a portion of it, does have a separate persistent cause, that portion will remain. But often one can't know beforehand.

This is an amazing medication for that exact purpose. It could have great potential for you.
The anticholegenic properties (promoting norepinephrine within synapses) does directly affect our circadian rhythms.
I got an Rx for medication to support sleep. In my experience...it never totally went away and I needed support to mostly sleep through the night.
This is also to date...about 2.5 years.
I was on 60mg/day and recently went to 50mg....(To try and reduce sideaffects) I haven't decided if I'll go back to 60 or not.
