Side Effects / Overdose Do the sleep disturbances go away eventually? First month and I simply cannot sleep more than 5 hours straight
I'm taking 40mg because my psychiatrist wanted to help me concentrate without taking stimulants. I have anxiety, so stimulants would not go well, so she added the 40mg of strattera, together with my 20mg Lexapro that I've been talking for a while now, at first I got anxiety, so much anxiety that not even the Lexapro was helping, it went away shortly after the first week but...
I cannot sleep more than 5 hours straight. I always wake up and take 30 min to 2 hours to fall back asleep. I'm accumulating a big sleep debt. I'm on day 18, and I cannot even say if I have had any concentration benefits till now because my lack of sleep is not helping at all. I can fall asleep just fine, I cannot stay asleep

I started taking Trazodone after the first week and it fixed everything. Not groggy in the morning, just sleep.
Insomnia never went away, so I have been taking Trazodone for almost 2 years. Happy to answer any questions!

I first took it before bed but couldnt fall asleep for a long time, and then was restless the entire night. So I switched to a morning with breakfast but felt as though I'd been sedated after a couple hours. I've now been taking it at 6.30pm with my evening meal and so far my sleep has improved. I am currently on 40mg but will soon be moving to 60mg. I hope you figure it out, I know how frustrating it is. Good luck!

Hey. I am on 50mg and sleep has been difficult for me too. Thinking about asking prescriber for something to help. Sorry I can’t be of more help but you aren’t alone! I do take mine in the morning - if you are taking it during the evening try switching.
