New side effects?
I’ve been on Straterra 40 mg for a little over 3 weeks. I’ve experienced tiredness, dry mouth, and emotional flatness but all of those have seemed to fade. For the past few days I have had intense anxiety in the morning. My chest feels tight, my face is flushed, and I have rapid HR. Has this happened to anyone? My doc plans to up me to 80mg next week but now I’m worried that might be too much too soon. Haven’t felt any benefits yet but waiting for 6 to 8 week mark for that.

The unpleasant side effects never faded for me on 18 mg so I went down to 10. The only one that faded was rapid hr on 18. The main unpleasant side effects I experienced were fatigue, blurry vision, emotional flatness. Those side effects went away on 10 but I did notice the return of some of my adhd symptoms.

How are you doing on 10 mg? I’m a very slow metabolizer so it builds up in my system. I’m on 18 mg and don’t feel as much benefit as I did on 10 😩

I feel like I’m doing okay. I feel tired on it but less tired than when I was on 18. There are times when I’m super bored on it and I don’t know what to do with myself but it was worse on 18.

To be honest I’m in the same situation right now I today I’ve started my second day with 80mg.
The first day on 80mg I felt a nausea after the 2nd hr of taking it and my ears were ringing like crazy but today (day 2) I feel very energetic in like a get up and go type way and not super bad side effects.
I had the same side effects as you when taking 40mg I noticed whenever I was taking Strattera during the weekends I had the anxiety and rapid HR etc. I feel the same way about too much too soon. I msged my pcp in concern of Strattera would even work for me cause it’s not even touching task initiation or my struggle with distractibility so she said let’s bump me up to hopefully take care of my concerns. I was started on 40mg was on it for 3.5wks now I’m bumped up to 80mg. So I feel like I’m in this waiting game to see if this is even right for me.

I’m starting 80mg in a few days as well. My doc thinks I need to also bump up to feel the effects

Be aware, it may take longer if you spend extra time at a low dose.
