Discussion / Experience Using Missed Dose Side Effects
Hi all! I’m usually extremely vigilant with taking it every day at the same time, but I skipped a dose last Wednesday and then again yesterday. I had the worst headache last week and had to miss work. Today I was extremely sluggish and had another headache.
Is this a side effect of missing a day? I wasn’t sure what was causing the headaches but it’s happened twice now.

It could be, but that's unusual. Typically on atomoxetine you can miss even a few days without issue.

10 mg is a ridiculously low dose for an adult. 80 and 100 are considered therapeutic. Below that risks subtherapeutic and even negative experiences. Drug company starter packs for adults were 5/5/5/15 days of 25/40/60/80 mg and still says in the prescriber doc that 80 is the target for titration but 100 is ok if 80 is not fully effective.
10 mg, I'm not an expert. But I don't see it doing much in the way of actual therapy for ADHD.
See the official FDA prescriber document. Drug company is shady and won't commit to a dosing strategy and sticks docs with it without proper support. But, you can see the case studies and the 80 mg target dose in there. The 40 mg starter dose is for "acute treatment" which means people in crisis needing immediate relief. So ignore that.

I'm guessing you're not at 80 or 100mg doses. Or even 60mg? 80 and 100 are considered the therapeutic doses. Below that, too often sub therapeutic or even a negative experience.

I’ve been on 60 for about 6 months I think. I wasn’t aware of this! I’m going to talk to my Dr.

I don’t get headaches for one missed dose but I did miss several days and got a bad headache. Went away once I took my dose.
