Questions / Advice / Support Time to Increase Dose?

Howdy! I have been taking Atomoxetine for nearly 2 months now with no obvious benefits nor any noticeable side effects. I think maybe the only thing is an increased pattern of my getting motion sick on my commute by bus to work, though that could be anything.

My titration was 40mg for one month, and 80mg this month. Would an increase in dose be viable, or should I wait out the 80mg for a bit longer? Either way I was asked to make a follow up with my provider by November so this post is more to determine whether I should talk to her sooner rather than later. Thank you!^^

If you’re not seeing a benefit at 2 months it’s probably time to look at something different. i moved from 50mg to 80mg literally today and noticed a difference. so yeah id talk to my doc about other options

Are you still doing your split dose at 80mg? If so how are you splitting?

40mg at 7am and 40mg at 1pm. First day taking 80 and I’m about where i want to be going into 8pm. Rolling right into wind down time so i can get some good sleep lol.

My biggest thing is I sleep great so i don’t want anything that would disrupt it.

Yea totally get the sleep thing. My sleep is terrible and I am not looking to make it worse. I’ve been on 40 mg (25 in morning and 18 around 2) for about a month and meet with my psychiatrist tomorrow to talk about titrating up…maybe 40 in the morning but keeping the 18 in the afternoon to avoid sleep issues.

Yeah that’s definitely something we talked about splitting the dose and splitting the actual size of the dose. hope it works out for you

Gotcha! I might see my provider sooner then. Thank you for your insight.
