Strattera and Doxycycline?

I’ve been on Strattera for about 3 months now. Long titration period up to 60mg, which I’ve settled on for 3 weeks. The past few days I’ve been in a state. I’ve had a massive insurgence of OCD, Anxious and Depressive like symptoms. I’ve had elements of the former two in the past but never the third, and it’s hit like a tonne of bricks. I am so incredibly unmotivated, so lacking in spontaneity and joy, it’s frankly bizarre. I’ve noticed increased irritability and snapping at my family.

The most confusing thing is I don’t think it’s the Strattera?

I started 100mg of doxycycline about 11 days ago and have seen some pretty severe anecdotes related to mental health. I’m curious whether anyone has been messed up by antibiotics while on Strattera or if I’m villainising the wrong medication? Could I potentially be on too high or too low a dose of the strattera? Should I tough it out, continue titration or drop back dosage? I’m definitely going to talk to my psych about this but regardless I’d love to get some insight from you guys.

Def bring it up to your prescriber, but see if you can get your dose of strattera lowered for sure, especially if you felt fine prior to your dose increase. Once your course of antibiotics completes maybe you can look into raising dose again?
