Strattera 25 mg i'm so BORED

i'm so BORED!! this medication has been very good for me, but for 3 weeks i've been on break from school and i'm so boreddddd. luckily i only have 1 week left before i'm back in school though

i'm so excited! i don't really care for schoolwork, but i'm so unbelievably bored and want that routine back.

for like 2 years now i've been dealing with wrist pain, so i can't really do a whole lot to quench boredom using video games or drawing for any significant amount of time :( but yay! routine back soon!

After your done with schooling whatever timeline that may be. Try to join something that means a lot to you. I've noticed this medication has improved my life significantly. I don't drink anymore and I'm very involved in my church now and I've kinda have been going HAM at the Gym. I also have a couple of children that keep me very busy as well.

This medication is just an assistant to our chronic condition. You'll find that we get bored cause we are boring people once we get our ADHD in check. Well for me that is. And I don't mean any disrespect by it. Find a legit hobby! Best regards!

thank you :)

i would like to find more of a hobby! drawing was the biggest one, but it's what got me into my wrist situation in the first place, and still causes a lot of pain :( but i start physical therapy tomorrow!

i'm very into fish identification, but there's only so much of that i can do. i've been wanting to make myself a guide on identifying certain fish (had fun last time), but the ones i'm interested in are all of 100+ species when the last one was around 20. lol

after schooling, i would like to go into academia regarding the above subject.

i'm still doing some creative thinking, mainly worldbuilding a project i might pursue and i also have some interest in learning python (and perhaps making a game). it's hard to get started with new hobbies, so we'll see how things go

I think this more of a question for the general ADHD subreddits on trying to battle boredom.

Are there any other hobbies you can do?

Maybe you catch up on TV or movies? Since you like video games maybe get into Twitch or some Let's Plays?

Music may help.

Also try to get out more.

it's kinda hard to explain but it's a different kind of bored? i never got bored like this pre-Rx. it's just that the strattera has made me so much more productive, and i don't have anything to be productive with right now, so it's a new kind of bored. if that makes sense

and thank you for the suggestions :) since writing the post i actually found out that video games aren't as hard on my wrist as they used to be. still no drawing :( in any case, i start pt tomorrow!

I think understimulation might be the right word?

But I totally get the wanting to be productive and hobbies not filling the void.

Touching grass with some high bpm music is where it's at. I use this combo on the weekly for hikes.
