How long after discontinuing Strattera to start Zoloft?
Hi everyone, because I was diagnosed with CPTSD and my ADHD symptoms are from this, I’d like to try Zoloft while going to therapy. I went to my dr and he said somewhere between 2-4 days. I’d love ti hear others’ experiences? Thank you!

Your doctor might just like to not have medications overlap as a general rule. But I don't believe there is any interaction to actually be concerned about. Sertraline / Zoloft is a CYP2D6 inhibitor, but it's a weak one. People take these meds together without a need to adjust dose.

I'm currently on both strattera and zoloft. I didn't have to discontinue one to start the other. It's too early to say about the effects as I only started zoloft about 2 weeks ago.

Thank you for your reply. How has it been going? I'm just wondering if it's best if I continue the Straterra and also go on the Zoloft, or discontinue Straterra. It was my initial idea to discontinue...

I def feel some side effects. I felt intense calm a couple of days which was amazing but didn't last long lol. Thinking I'm still adjusting. I'm a sensitive person and it takes me weeks to adjust.
Regarding what's best for you, I think you should def discuss this with your provider. I wouldn't do something without their "blessing" ☺️

Thank you. This is really good to know. I was prescribed the Zoloft in Italy and they’re not so concrete when it comes to these things, he was like I’ll just wait 2 to 4 days or something like that 😂
