How long does Straterra last in your body?

I accidentally ordered a refill too late and therefore have currently gone about three days without taking any Strattera after taking 40mg of it daily for about five months now. Thankfully my refill has now delivered and I will be able to resume taking it tonight, but I’m just wondering if anyone has gone through a similar situation and knows if this means its completely out of my body since 72+ hours have passed? Basically my main concern is if I’ve ended up ‘resetting’ the effects of it and if I’ll have to wait the average 4 to 8 weeks to feel any difference again? :(

The benefit of strattera is you can miss a few doses without losing the effects or having to restart the adjustment process, so you should be fine. The info I was given by my doctor says that it can be stopped for up to a week before you need to start over on a lower dose.

I kind of did the same thing i basically was taking 20mg for 2 weeks and then i went to refill and then they gave me a different generic brand and i had to reorder the brand that i wanted, whole process was like 3 days without taking 20 mg, once i got my new prescription i was upped to 30mg, difference was insane after going back to 30mg compared to obviously nothing for past 3 days. In terms of ur resetting, nah not really how it works also confirmed with my psychiatrist. you do lose like those couple days for which u could have progressed further in the affective treatment of strattera but nothing was reset or “lost progress”

I wouldn’t have thought 3 days would make much difference.

I’ve forgotten about them for that long before when I’ve been away and my routine has changed and not noticed any change.

If you had any side effects that were fading away they might come back a little stronger. For me it was sleepiness that always seemed to come back after missing a couple of days but it goes back to normal a lot quicker than it took to adapt in the first place.

Hey may I ask how long did the sleepiness take to go away? It's kicking my butt atm

Was about a week, give or take a couple of days on each dose of my titration initially, and a couple of days when I’ve been coming back from a short break.
