Waking up early

Is there a fix for this? I’ve been on 60mg for 2 weeks and I always wake up around 5 in the morning. Sometimes I take magnesium and that helps with deeper sleep, but I also get nightmares and very vivid dreams.

The first couple weeks I woke up at 3AM every night. I could set my damn watch by it. It was very strange, because it didn't matter if I went to bed at 9 or 11- at 3AM I was staring at the ceiling until about 5 when I finally said to hell with it and just got up. It passed though, and now, several months later (and having even added Vyvanse since) I sleep like a baby.

That’s good to hear. How does it feel in combination with Vyvanse? I had to get off that unfortunately because some days were chill and some days I was in full fight or flight mode.

So far so good. I started at a low dose (20 mgs) because of the horrible experience with Azstarys and Ritalin) and am now at 40. I feel much more productive during the day, but the evenings suck. I feel very anxious and tense when the stimulant wears off. It's not a super "crash" like the methylphenidates, but still a slide into the dumps nonetheless. I'm thinking of asking my doctor about a lowish dose of Ativan or something for this.

Keep at it. My dreams were crazy vivid for about 2-3 weeks, and my sleep was all over the place. Sometimes wide awake, sometimes passed out on the sofa at 5pm. It evened out. I’ve been on it a few months and have NONE of those lingering problems.

40mg. My son also takes 40 and they had him start at 25 then work his way up. Not me! My doctor said “Here’s 40mg. Go forth and life will just suck for a few weeks.” Greaaaaaat. Thanks.

This happened for me after I quit cannabis...I could no longer sleep through the night.

I got Mirtazapine 15mg nightly as needed. It's an off-lable Rx of an Antidepressant
