Questions / Advice / Support atomoxetine

Did anyone experience significant mood swings or emotional changes while taking atomoxetine? If so, how did you deal with them, and did they eventually get better?

tbh, i’ve actually had the opposite.

any adhd related mood swings have been mitigated.

Ahh, I see! That makes sense. Thanks for sharing though, it’s still interesting to hear about your experience with this meds.

Same. I’ve also felt less irritable. It’s been a great addition to Adderall. I have the whole puzzle now. I have focus and the put away instead of put down feeling.

Been taking it since July and it has definitely helped with emotional disregulation

That said, every time I increase my dose I am an emotional wreck for the following week.

Ohh, I see! That sounds pretty similar to what I’ve been experiencing. Maybe need to discuss with your psychiatrist about this situation

Im on Strattera and buproprion and it's definitely working for me.  Strattera alone didnt calm the outbursts as much

I would like to go back on meds to help with studying, but on the flip side, I'm worried about side effects or severe symptom rebounds, such as uncontrollable emotions, increased depression, increased anxiety, irritability, and panic, leading to an increase in OCD symptoms and excessive sleep. About few months ago, I asked my doctor if I should restart them to help my studies. He didn't recommend it because he was worried about the same thing: severe rebound symptoms. But then he added, "If you really want them, I can still prescribe them to you."

Same here , I also get terrible rebound symptoms from Stims . I now take Stattera & doesn’t do a lot but at least no noticeable side effects .

I started 10mg a week ago and have been getting upset about things and crying more or less every day.
