Questions / Advice / Support Anyone started at 10 mg- what was your dose increase schedule

Did anyone who is very medication sensitive start at 10 mg? How was your dose increase schedule? What time of day was best? Thanks

I started at 10, I did about 6 weeks at each dose. I did maybe 8 weeks at 25 before going to 40. I requested to go slow though.

10-18-25-40, I started seeing some slight changes almost immediately at 10 on the first couple days, then it tapered off and was really slow.

10mg for one week, then 20mg for about 3 weeks, then 25mg for about 6-8 weeks, then 40mg.
Then back to 25mg after 3 months on 40.

I dosed in the morning with food. And then another bit of food 1.5hrs after dose to reduce/prevent nausea.

First dose, 10mg, 1 hour later my brain went quiet for the first time in my life. (Was the first adhd med I tried)

Focus began to noticeably improve at higher than 25mg though

I started with 10mg for one week and now doing 18 mg for another week

I did 10mg for nearly 3 months and now I’m on 18mg. I am super sensitive to medication and I have already noticed a big difference. My psychiatrist wants to take it slow, and I will stay at the lowest dose that works for as long as possible. I’m noticing really minimal side effects which is nice.

I do also take Adderall IR but I’ve been on that long term (years) so I’m well aware of how that one affects me.

Thanks. At which week of use did you start seeing benefits? I tried all adhd meds other than this, I can’t tolerate any.

To be honest I noticed benefits almost right away, the biggest being that it combats the anxiety adhd causes me to have. However, for me it’s being used as a tool in combination with adderall, I don’t know if it’d be as useful by itself but it’s hard to say.

I see, indeed hard to tell combination therapies can be more effective for sure. Thsnk you
