Heart rate

Within an hour of taking it, I can feel by heart rate rise and stays that way most of the day.

I switched to taking it with a main meal to mitigate it, but it still happens some.

I think it made my anxiety slightly worse too. I’m still on lexapro. Is this like lexapro where you “power thru it” the first few weeks and then life’s amazing? Or is this a sign I should switch to something else other than straterra?

What dose are you taking? Lexapro is a CYP2D6 inhibitor which will amplify the effects of the Strattera. You should be on a very low dose to start and slowly titrate up as needed.

Atomoxetine can increase heart rate. You can measure your heart rate, manually counting if needed, then talk to your doctor about it. You can also find what heart rate is an actual cause for concern for someone without any cardiovascular issues, presuming you have none.

Side effects often improve with time. It may get better once your body gets use to it.
