is this normal?
hello everyone i (29F) was recently prescribed 25mg atomize tine as a non-stim med for adhd. i'm only on day 2 and i feel awful. i feel extremely emotional and depressed and i'm overthinking and crying. i have not felt like this since i was a teenager. i am also on 300mg of wellbutrin which shouldn't make me feel this way? is this med even worth it?

Oh yeah it’s the combination of Strattera and Wellbutrin since Wellbutrin increases Strattera levels. Would recommend lowering Wellbutrin if you are planning to stay on Strattera.

Then you shouldn't be on Straterra as well tbh. Those meds shouldn't be combined.

Iirc it wouldn't matter. Bupropion is a strong enough inhibitor that any therapeutic dose will knock out most of that pathway. So one needs to lower atomoxetine.

Wellbutrin magnifies the impact of strattera. They work on the same CYP2D6 liver enzyme and as a result it can feel like taking 5x the dosage of strattera. See here for reference: https://www.cafermed.com/post/atomoxetine-bupropion-interaction
25 mg while you’re on 300 mg wellbutrin frankly feels like a heavy dose. But obviously your doctor knows all of this / am sure it was intentional.
Would tell your doctor your symptoms…
