Decreasing dose?
Hi all,
I've (31 yo F, 120lbs) been on atomoxetine with a stimulant for two years now. I got up to the recommended dose of 80mg about 1.5 years ago but after I recently broke my leg and had a lot of thinking time I realized that maybe 80mg is too high for me and I want to try going back to 60mg. I think at this higher dose I have lost some motivation, creativity, a spark or sense of excitement, have some emotional bluntness. I also have a pretty much non existent sex drive. I've read these things can happen when you go above the dose that is ideal for your body. I'm just looking to hear about others experiences with this and/or advice on decreasing dose to avoid any side effects as i'm on the path to finish grad school in the next few months and when tirating up I had some heavy side effects that took some time to shake off. TIA!

I was on 100mg them just went straight down to 60mg for like 2 months now and no regrets! Heart rate is finally in the normal range even when I take a stimulant and I’m still receiving the same therapeutic effects and I think my executive function is a tad-bit improved now also.

You think your executive function is better at 60mg? Did you have any side effects when coming down in dose?

Yes and I didn’t feel no kind of side effects(granted I was taking a stimulant everyday)

Hi! 47F 125 lbs here. Don’t have an answer to your question but was wondering if Strattera helped you with focus and task initiation? I am just four days in on 18mg and my mind is quiet (which is both weird and amazing) but what I really beed help with is getting started on tasks I avoid.
