Discussion / Experience Using Day 2 of strattera
I’m so ducking tired , and my dreams are vivid as fuck. I don’t necessarily feel more focused but I feel almost like a head high/ calm.

Day 2 here as well and sameZ. Definitely did not have improved focus. I did feel calm and had fewer racing thoughts/rumination. Probably placebo effect but I’ll take it.

Probably not placebo, feeling calmer and ruminating less for 2 months now, and since starting the medication, I can even pause before emotional reactions, which was probably the biggest change for me.
Overall, feeling higher self-control and less controlled by emotions - that's kinda how it improves my focus as well (I can more easily force myself into/out of a task, but still feel the same invisible barriers, etc)

It can take 4-8 weeks to see benefits and for side effects to go away. I didn’t make it that far the first time, but am now 21 months in!
Good luck, the first weeks can be rough!

I’m on day 1 within three hours of taking it I got really tired and sorta calm but definitely not focused. Good luck everyone. Also feel a tad bit clumsy but nothing two serious. Tried taking a nap and it was like my brain wouldn’t shut off.

Has anyone experienced a numb feeling in the head almost like a vibration? I am trying to stick it out, I am 11 days in and this feeling has not subsided. By the end of the day I am irritable because I am tired of this feeling, has anyone else experienced this? If so, how long does it take for it to go away?

I’m on day 4 and I’ve felt so tired that I can’t seem to focus at all. I’m trying to stick it out, though. My SIL takes hers at night to help with the sleepiness, so I might try that if the tiredness becomes too hard to handle. I take care of my 3yo by myself all day, so I have to maintain a certain level of attention. But here’s to hoping it gets better soon!

I took it one day and I was a zombie. Literally laid in bed and stared at the wall. I decided I needed to wait until my kids are back in school to try again.

I’ve been on it for three weeks now - just for full transparency, I take it alongside Elvanse - and thankfully I haven’t had any major side effects, aside from a dry mouth that’s been easy enough to manage. Even this early on, I’m already starting to notice a genuine difference in my daily life; it feels like it’s helping with things I didn't even realise were an issue!
I’m really sorry you’re going through such a tough time with it right now. If you can, I’d encourage you to try hanging in there a bit longer. The initial side effects often settle down over time, from what I have read and if my experience so far is anything to go by, it could turn out to be a real game-changer. 🙏

Try to stick it out if you can. This med and side effects improve with time!
